I got these same shoes for my trip to Jamacia. Looks good with the outfit but the soles was slippery. Walking on wet concrete my wife and I slipped and almost feel with the same shoes on. Soles just need more traction.

Protects you from stepping into things like shells sharp rocks glass wtc. Also prevents easily slipping although they don't always work for that and sometimes actually make things worse.

I kayak fish, so I wear them because I get into the water to get into and out of my kayak. Water shoes are light, breathable, and dry fast.

I wear these as every day shoes when I just need something quick to wear. Probably not a pair I'd do any heavy step counts in. I ordered 1/2 a pair size smaller than usual and they fit perfectly (I'm a size 10.5, wear size 10).

For me it was fashion and function getting this shoe. I don't like the cheap water shoe that fit like a sock, not comfortable and look weird. This shoe looks good and held up really well in the water but need traction on the bottom.

Received mine and tried on today. Value|Price ratio = very good.
I could see going to the beach or pool side, but I would not want to walk very far in them. The sole isn't a squishy rubber like a true skateboard shoe but it's decent.
The counter heal will rub you raw I'll bet in a long walk, but they are not for that purpose.

Would these work for rain shoes? I'm planning a trip to Paris during cold, rainy season. Will be doing a lot of walking and sightseeing, so comfort is also a factor

These don't seem like shoes you should walk any long distance in.

$18 is not good for some cheap ass generic water shoes that have numerous reviews saying they are slippery when wet. Don't impulse buy this junk.
