The Lanyard *IS* a C to C and by NOT being attached, if the cable goes bad the unit is still usable.

Yes, but it is fully detachable. This means I need to connect both ends for it to charge.

I want it to be like the Anker where I just need to connect one side to charge / recharge, then just plug it back at one end to go back to lanyard mode.

Makes sense. This doesn't have 5amp pps and the cable might not be 5 amp rated (usually need something labeled 100w and these freebies are almost always 60w so 3amp cap).

You are supposed to keep lithium batteries with you and not in check in, so yes - is actually required.

I travel with battery packs all the time.
