I'm an andrpid guy, but the ipad 11 is way more powerful for cheaper or same price. I got my iPad 11 for $229 from shopmyexchange.
If this was $199 then iit's a great price.

Did you even realize what I have asked for lisa?
They're like talking to a bad customer support agent. Their name isn't Lisa. They have multiple accounts on this site and sometimes they are a woman and sometimes a man. They always recommend tablets off of AliExpress over Samsung. They talk about the Aldocube or whatever all the time, and now they're pushing RedMagic.

Samsung got caught...certain vendors' phones would tell users that they had all of Android's security patches up to a certain date, while in reality missing as many as a dozen patches from that period—leaving phones vulnerable to a broad collection of known hacking techniques.

What exactly will Android 16 bring that causes lag? Most people on OneUI 8 beta with pre release builds noticed increased performance, with one factor being the switch to Vulkan.Of course I would have agreed with you completely a few years ago but Android devices have changed and Samsung has switched to the 7 year update policy. Are you sure you are not an Apple guy?
Once Apple stops providing OS updates, your device becomes essentially a paperweight.
I will never buy another iPad again. I've owned two and have since switched to Android, with no intention of going back. While I do have to handle more maintenance with Android, which involves tasks like clearing app caches and occasionally reinstalling apps, I find it worth the effort compared to the drawbacks of Apple.
It's frustrating when the latest app updates won't install because they've been recompiled and the OS no longer supports them. This often happens due to software changes Apple insists on or significant hardware updates in new models. You don't ease into it.
Unless you back up to a PC, reinstalling apps from the Apple store means you risk losing purchased apps, games, which happened to me. I ended up having to rebuild my game library on Android.
I really dislike the fact that Apple's browsers don't receive updates after the OS does. That's one of the main reasons my old iPad doesn't get used anymore. While you can get third-party browsers, Safari is too tightly integrated into the overall Apple experience.
My Android devices have always outlasted the two iPads I've owned, not because they are broken, because the Google app store doesn't orphan me off, post haste, with lost of OS updates.

I am going back MANY years... but I got a 1st gen Ipad when I purchased my Roland keyboard. Of course it said, with free ipad (thinking I will get the newest generation). Well they gave me the first gen and it was already so old the OS I could not download any app such as youtube, netflix, etc...
I remember being able to pull up older versions of software from the app store. And I did get a few apps installed... and then I used it as a trade in for some other shitty tablet. I followed a youtube video, it was NOT EASY but the video helped and I was able to use the ipad.
Hope this helps...

I push what I feel is the best VALUE. And I love to educate.
And yes...
Redmagic's tablet IS THE SHIT. And don't rely on me....

Better screen, but a lot less longevity. Samsung is no good at optimizing hardware that isn't its latest and most premium. Android 16 will bring a lot lag and stuttering to this tablet. I'm not an Apple guy, but the iPad A16 will still be reliable after Samsung has EoL'd this tablet.
I still have a galaxy tab S2 that functions pretty well. In my experience Samsung S series have very good longevity.

In the end... it the battery that kills every tablet. That Tab S2 was a unicorn... but it is no longer a viable option due to it's age (slow and no security updates). What was so special about the Tab S2 was the OLED screen in a small form factor.
Today the only tablet that I can think of that is small form factor and OLED is the Redmagic Astra Gaming Tablet.

Like most tablet that I have had in my life including the Tab S2... it falls on the floor and the screen breaks. Now I get kid friendly cases with screen protectors. I believe ALL tablets have good longevity if they don't fall, Samsung is not specials nor has higher build quality than others.

Do you have a custom ROM on it or something? It can no longer support many apps now since the Android version is so old. SoC is also sluggish but mainly the S2 is barely usable in 2025 due to the ancient Android version.

No ROM. It is just used for web browsing, YouTube, and YouTube Music. I don't have many apps on it, but the ones that are there work fine. I even managed to install Family Link on it a couple of months ago....and it worked as designed. My kids use it all the time. It can get sluggish, but it's because the memory is full... from my kids taking pictures and making videos. It's nothing like having a newer tablet, but my point is that it still works and Samsung makes good hardware. All the talk about speed and processing power is pointless for most people unless you are a power gamer or something.

I didnt know all that about the S2. I guess I got lucky. For what its worth, the battery still lasts forever. My kids use it daily playing music endlessly...with screen on. It has to get 10 plus hours.
