You have to have a USB c port that supports video out. Thunderbolt ports must have video out but USB c does not necessarily mean video out is enabled

Probably getting something from Best Buy/Staples or somewhat a name brand with better reviews cost around $15. Don't want something that's gonna damage the port on the mini in the long run. I have GCs to burn at those stores so will see.

If you're wondering whether your device can display video from it's USB C port, just buy it and try. I have had a couple phones that were said to not support it only to finally connect it and they worked just fine. Could have had many nights in hotels streaming what I wanted if I got it sooner.

Ordered 2 to test out for work functionality. We don't always have available docking stations, but this may work to get that 2nd or 3rd monitor connected to our line of Dell Latitude 55xx with Thunderbolt 3 & 4.

according to the specs this is DP compatible so it will work even if you don't have a fancy thunderbolt laptop
