How are Samsung refurb phone? Good as new?
I bought the Samsung certified re-new 256GB Galaxy S22 phone last week and it was delivered 3 days ago. The condition is like New. I examined it very carefully and I can't tell if it has been used. It has a new battery.

~$320 for S23 isnt worth giving up my S10e. Have to pay taxes on full value. $100-200, yes.
It is a huge upgrade though. Deals probs will get better near the end of the year (started in Nov 24 or so). You could trade in worse phones too for $350.
Traded in a crappy $20 phone from eBay and an iPhone SE (2016) for $350 each for two S23, 256 gb in Jan 25. used a $50 off $500+ coupon too. Got my SE trade in rejected bc trade in center is sketchy, but had video and photo evidence of working phone and packing the phone into the box.
$294 per phone. Sold my s22+ for $240 after fees (and a new pixel 7 for $260 after fees, obtained via warranty after a pixel 5a broke).

I bought 2 phones in the past month and both have had the trade in accepted. I videoed boxing just in case both times. I've probably traded in 6 phones last couple years to Samsung and t Mobile with 0 rejections.
I've traded in quite a few things to Samsung but recently got a rejection, but had evidence thankfully, and got the charge back reversed.
Strangely, they accepted a $20 android phone and rejected an iPhone SE; both were sent at the same time. Also took 7 months for the idiot trade in center to reject it, what.

Samsung sent me an email after 6 months that they were not able to copy data from my phone. Actually everything was working. Not sure if more people faced this issue. I was surprised to see their email after 6 months.
Yep took 7 months for a rejection. Ridiculous. Talked to a Samsung rep, showed pics of phone working and got the trade in accepted in 10 mins

My Samsung Trade-In Nightmare: I took Samsung's $300 trade-in deal seriously, I sent a factory-reset phone in perfect shape. Months later, they hit me with a $350 charge, claiming my device 'didn't pass a wipe test.' No explanation of what that means or chance to fix it. Just a charge for $350 out of nowhere after I'd already moved on. This wasn't a discount, it was a trap. I trusted Samsung, and they exploited that trust with murky rules and retroactive charges. Don't make my mistake.
Same exact rejection, 7 months after I traded in a phone. Could try to talk to Samsung chat, got it reversed 10 mins after I showed them proof. Otherwise id still talk to chat, screenshot evidence, do a chargeback if you used a credit card

I had a base s22 and the battery on that thing was terrible. start at 100% and leave the house 90%.

The nord 200 trade value is solid. So if the s22 does come with a new battery thats better optimized might be a solid deal. or that s22 can be saved for a trade on t mobile depending on your plan for a flagship phone.

I also would love an experts opinion on this - Is trading in a Moto G7 for a S22 for $150 worth it?

Question: When sending in my trade-in phone to Samsung, do I need to include the usb cable or charging adapter? Can I just send in only the phone?

It is just the trade in phone. No need to include cables, box etc.

Can someone post detailed ins on packing, taking video and record keeping in case they dispute after receiving?
WIKI would be nice
Not sure what you mean by "details ins", but this is EXACTLY what I've done any time I've sold a phone on Swappa or eBay!!

1. Go to a USPS location with an automated kiosk
2. Place phone on top of kiosk, with scale in view
3. Start recording
4. Turn phone on, show serial #, do whatever you want in order to show that it's working
5. Turn it OFF. Place in box. Seal it up.
6. Affix postage. NOW... while keeping the box in view of the phone camera --> take it over and drop it in the package/parcel drum.
7. Pull the handle to send the package inside --> make sure to continue recording while you RE-OPEN the drum and show it empty.

At this point, the package is literally out of your hands. You can't get it back. If anyone (buyer, Samsung, 3rd party trade-in clowns) tries to claim that your device wasn't in the condition you stated: send them a link to your video so that they can kindly go f*ck themselves.

Edit: LMAO it just struck me that you probably meant "detailed instructions", LOL!

Well. Hopefully this helps. I would say this applies to UPS also. You might have to be a little more discreet, and not capture employee faces on camera. I would always assume they don't want to be recorded, unless they say otherwise. But I've propped my phone on top of some box or object, to capture myself turning the device OFF, packing it, and then walking 10 feet over to the counter to drop it off.

Got the trade in label two days before the phone arrived. Shipped the trade-in that day. Just received a trade in acceptance email this morning. Not saying this will always be the case but just a data point to consider.
