This omen only has a single USB-C 3.2. No thunderbolt, no USB 4.The Legion 5 with 5060 is a better laptop for less money: https://slickdeals.net/f/18461014-lenovo-legion-5-2025-15-1-qhd-165hz-oled-ryzen-7-260-rtx-5060-16gb-ddr5-512gb-ssd-1038-24

Smaller screen and AMD... So a small trade-off.

Is AMD really a tradeoff here? Normally you'd miss out on thunderbolt ports, but the HP only has USB 3 (and no thunderbolt) whereas the Lenovo has USB 4, so Lenovo still comes out ahead there.
And sure, the screen is 0.9" smaller, but the Lenovo has a much better screen(panel type, brightness, color gamut, resolution, HDR).
Plus the Lenovo has better battery life and better Wi-Fi (7).
In fact, while this Omen is marketed as a "Slim" model, the Lenovo is actually slimmer, smaller in every dimension, and lighter.

I really can't see why anyone would want to buy this HP over the Legion.

Agreed on all counts. Only real downside is the Lenovo is over a month for delivery.

Waaay overpriced even with tariffs and inflation. X060 series laptops are usually $799 and this one is damn near 40% more. Would wait closer to Xmas and black friday to see if these greedy mofos calm down and lower prices more in line with previous generations.

The hp omen deal for $1,500 in June was much better deal for the money. Looks like computers went up $200 in the last month. A good price to me for this computer would be about $100 less at $1k.

They both only have 1 USB-c 3.2 and don't they both have display port 2.1

The Legion has a USB 4 port. 40Gb/s vs 10Gb/s, Thunderbolt accessory compatible, and PCI passthrough for things like external GPUs.
