Its basically just a card reader that works with magsafe, right?

Yeah, pretty much. It's just nice to not have anything dangling while editing on my phone. It feels pretty well made as well.

I bought this in the last sale for my Samsung S24 Ultra. It does not work well in my use case. I can insert the SD/microSD and my file explorer can see files on it, but it fails to transfer files to/from the card. I also cannot play media from the card. I paid so little for it that I'm not going to bother returning.

Apple got their salad tossed by the europeans to use standard usb-c I don't see why this wouldn't work but then again this is Apple who we are talking about.

That's unusual You would think it would treat it like any other USBC hub. But I'm no expert
