I just bought like 5 water flossers for about 10 bux each today for some reason. I guess it's time to start flossing.

Floss with string first, then flush out debris at the gumline and interdental area with the irrigator. They are complementary rather than substitutes. If you had to choose between the two, I suppose flossing gets you further, but it also depends on where debris tends to accumulate in your anatomy. Do both when you can, and either is better than nothing.

Here's the order for the perfect routine:

Ex-orthodontist here. Here's the perfect routine, FYI.
  1. Rinse mouth (water)
  2. Floss (Johnson & johnson 200 yard waxed is my fav)
  3. Waterpik (clean frequently)
  4. Brush teeth for 2 minutes (new brush head every 3 months)
  5. Clean tongue with tongue scraper (clean frequently)
  6. Fluoride rinse for 60 seconds

I've had this one for a couple months now. I don't feel it's as powerful as others used.

I just got the white one. $9.99 with tax include. The difference in price is probably because of the tax in my state.

I bought this one last week. It was worth trying for $10, but doesn't "floss" well. A fun gift idea, but far inferior to floss sticks. Also, almost no way not to make a splashy mess with it.

Takes 5-6 min max. Usually heat up a hot water bottle while i'm doing this and it's timed perfectly.
