All 1st party Nintendo games are physical, they are not game key cards

The legend of Zelda released on NES in 1987 for $50. That is nearly $140 in today's dollars.
inflation exists. Going into every post on SD whining about it won't fix it

Lots of Nintendo 64 games were $60 back in the late 90's, ya'll forget

OOS on both Amazon and Costco (hitting add to cart switches to a gray button)
Workaround if unable to ATC https://www.costco.com/nintendo-games.html
Or type nintendo switch games in costco search and Add from title. It will be the 1st game in the row of games and show ATC

Tried price matching twice the other day and again this morning with Best Buy chat support (unfortunately right after Amazon went OOS). All 3 agents said the Costco price is "for paid members only" so they have no way of seeing it and won't honor the price, but that I'm welcome to go to a Best Buy store and request the price match there showing the price on my phone.
yeah, that's bs. sorry you had that experience. if you're a member but have to buy from bb, I'd login and send them a screen grab. it clearly lists Costco as a price match competitor. I'm going to pick mine up in store today. long live physical media.

No, I just tried as well. Like the OP said, they do honor pricing from Costco, but only pricing that does not involve signing in with your membership. This one requires sign-in, so it's a no-go from BB to price match.

$63 is a deal now on a Nintendo game? What a joke this market has become.
Nintendo used to charge 70-80 on some games in the 80s and 90s

$100 eShop cards are also 10% off at Costco if you want to be all digital. Depending on your zip code, you may also pay no sales tax when checking out on the eShop.

Was able to price match at Best Buy (to Costco) through chat. Guess I was lucky.

i assume the true value here is having the physical copy for the same-ish price; for some states like CA, after sales tax the price of this is nearly the same as the non-taxed digital copy

Ah man. I remember watching a kid with his dad going into Wherehouse to buy a Super NES non bundle (no Super Mario World) and Street Fighter II. the game was $80 and thought that was obscenely priced high and would have just got the Mario World bundle instead. While I agree that consumers have the right to complain, I also think they need to complain reasonably. There are a lot more entitled people today than before. Yeah, billion dollar companies make more money than before but the studios that work under them need to get paid more for their work because the cost of living is higher now. Now, I don't think that means everyone should accept $80 pricing of games, but in my opinion $70 or $75 games should be the normal now. Currently, it sounds like people rejecting Game Key cards (people voting with their wallet is working!) is making Nintendo rethink or redo distribution of games for the NS2. But that could also mean the physical fully loaded cards will cost more for third party games. I think people need to also reject game key discs from the PS/Xbox third party games to let the companies know people really want games on physical fully loaded without needing the internet to run them.
Agree to physical being king!

I asked BB to price match this for me so I didn't have to wait for Costco to ship it. They ended up price matching it for $60.99, the rep said from Target, even though it's listed at 69.99. Just picked it up and seems like a great game minus the frame drops.

It's prices like these that keep me always 1-2 generations behind on gaming. I can't justify owning the latest consoles and games, especially with a huge backlog of older games that I haven't played but want to.
