After completing the game as a sorta HP fan I can honestly say $10-$15 should be the price for this single player game with a poor loot/inventory system.
There's no real reward for getting extra collectibles past the amount in the book and the different houses only really have a singular side quest difference so you'llhave probably 1 playthrough as the ending choice doesn't impact the end game nor how people react to your character. If you do get this please press onward through the story before exploring too much as things will unlock (lots of stuff is progression blocked with spells/story) and backtracking is not fun. You do get a fast travel option. It is pretty and a good amount of lore however not worth full price and after a single playthrough you'll likely never pick it up again.
I nearly purchased it for $20 but then PS+ had it as a monthly and I sank in time I'll never get back. That being said I hope the second game does better and learns from these issues.
I hated this game more than any game I've played in the last decade. I stopped after 15 hours after trying to push through. Environment building was great, but is a poor game otherwise.
This is a game you play to complete the story and experience the fun of being a Hogwarts student. Combat is fun but a bit simple. There isn't much as far as side quests. For a HP fan this game is a no brainer, and it has no online component or constant ask for micro transactions. This is a young studio and they put out a very good game, I recommend anyone get it if they have any interest in the HP universe and are looking for a simple game to have fun and follow a story.
Best Harry Potter base videogame ever, combat system is awesome, reviews are mixed, so you either love it or hate it. I paid $15 for PC but for physical game $20 is still decent price. However I got the premium version with all DLC for $15. This one is just the regular. Anyway game feels like a movie the first couple of hours, but after that I really enjoy the story. 9 out 10.
