Will this work with the Delta 2 Max? I understand it's around half the capacity, but wondering if it's still plug and play through the expansion ports?

Does not work. Delta 2 main unit will work with delta 2 max battery, but not the other way around.

Worry Free Delivery?

Since when are those features not included in the shipping cost? What is the point of making them optional besides nickel-and-diming us? Are we really losing coverage for those circumstances if we don't pay it?

Is it able to charge this up as well or are you using a separate external charger for the battery.

You'll need a 12v lifepo4 charger or charge through a solar controller. Try to find a 10amp version.. so you can charge it a little faster cause it will take all day to charge. The convenience with having the D2 EB is it all just works together. No need to buy a lifepo4 charger that can be like $50.
Understand that it will take a while to charge the D2 with a 12v lifepo4 battery. I do this too and it's nice but you gotta have an idea on what to expect.
Check this out to give you an idea. If you go this route.. go w/ a 24v lifepo4 at least so your D2 charges a little faster. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAcNzTTvL_Y

Thanks and Reps for the video link and your explanation of what I'm working with.

When I bought I needed to achieve a 3Kw system for the Tax Incentive and it was a major savings over the EF Auxiliary Batteries.

I have a Delta 2 and would like more capacity some times. I think Id rather just buy another full Delta 2 unit for $50 more when it's on sale. Then I could use them in different places or just charge one from the other to "link" them. I'm sure it's not as efficient but would work. Am I missing something that I should consider this over a second actual Delta 2 unit?
