I guess I am that boomer. I prefer high cotton count, at least 70% which is very hard to come by nowadays, when a textile close to skin such as socks, undergarments, and bedding. When I wear socks that contain all polyester, my feet slide inside the shoe because polyester is slippery.

These are my favorites. Also my son's favorites. When this deal hits I usually buy 5 packs. Thanks for the notice!

What brands have you found that have high amount of cotton
I don't need socks right now so I am not searching for it but a quick search on Amazon gives this from Hanes:
https://www.amazon.com/Hanes-Men%...th=1&psc=1

At least it is 50% Cotton,48% Ployester,1%Spandex ,1 %Nylon

Gold toe. Dickies. Walmart carries both.

As a runner, 100% polyester is best and less likely to create blisters. I've never liked cotton socks. If they get wet, they stay wet. After a few washes, cotton becomes like cardboard. These polyester socks don't make my feet sweat at all.
Different materials have their advantages. People should really explore different options depending on what they're using it for like I prefer wool socks during winter because they still insulate when wet. Polyester is great for wicking moisture if you're exerting yourself.

Got a couple of bad toenails. Doc said they are from wrong socks. He says socks should be 100% cotton.

These are pretty thick and much better than those puma socks from amazon
Yeah they are thick and nice. The bad is some of my shoes are tight now because of it. I got in on a great deal a couple of years back when I got them with the multiple buy for $50 for 100 pairs.

I have had these for several years, never a rip or hole. Very thick and nice. Feel as new as the day I got them. I will re-up here since I've lost a few!
Opposite experience for me.

For the price I guess it might be considered "throw away" socks. But I wore these religiously for a few years a while back (maybe quality has changed since then?). They lose their elasticity over time resulting in them staying stretched out and won't stay on your feet or they will shift all over the damn place inside your shoe.

But I guess you'll get your money's worth. For $11 and lasting for a few years, it'll pay off I suppose. Quality will deteriorate slowly as you adapt to the crappy experience and you might not even notice for a while.

I won't even mention the fancy socks I have now because it's just going to sound pretentious since they cost like 20x more hahah. But at least it doesn't shift around like crazy in my shoe

I have these socks and they are very nice. Replacing my thin under armour socks with these thick boys. Ordered more.

They are thick, they are comfortable, they do last, but they did make my feet sweat a lot to the point that it gave me a problem. I wear them to run, but won't wear them any other time anymore.
