I've had this chair for years now, since the beginning of COVID. They had to replace the base and the upright hydraulic cylinder because both broke. So not the best chair, but they did send me new parts and all has been well since.

It is comfy and the mesh is more durable than I thought it would be.

I've had this for 5 years. Like the other comment, my star base cracked. Staples sent a replacement part with fast shipping without any fuss. 7 year warranty. Don't expect this to last you a lifetime but it's a decent option to hold you over until the right SlickDeal on a premium chair.

Bro, please don't. AI didn't tell us anything of value.

Got my chair today, built it, so far so good. Better than my previous mesh office chair.

I'm sorry I don't follow your logic. Did you verify that the AI response was correct and thus was true and not made up before quoting it? You gave a single response to a specific question that is rooted in a medical condition that you know nothing about. You basically just said "AI it bro" and posted results you literally had no idea were correct or at all helpful.

I mean the audacity of you telling someone else to verify if the AI generated answer you shared is false. What was even the point of your response if it still leaves the person who asked in the same position as if you never responded at all. Yes, we should always do our own research no matter what, but the whole point of asking people a question is to potentially get insights from others with similar experiences.
Yes I did verify it was an accurate statement before posting. I'm doubtful you did much outside of simply being condescending. I didn't just say "AI it bro" and moved on. I had to spend a bit more energy than that. Don't get so easily offended. Perhaps you don't think the response was not helpful but as far as I am concerned, it was constructive.

"it is unlikely to be ideal for someone with a pilonidal cyst problem due to the lack of a specific coccyx cutout. The potential for mesh sagging could also be an issue. For true relief, chairs specifically designed for tailbone pain with a cutout are much more recommended, or at the very least, using a dedicated coccyx cushion with a suitable chair. "

See how that entire quoted response you just forced down our throats again was just vague assumptions that anyone could make simply by looking at the chair? Seriously, just stop. If someone wants to be lazy enough to use AI for things that AI should not be used for, they probably already are. We don't need people like you suggesting it when we want experience-based responses from real humans.

I bought one recently, and I was able to use the "new email subscriber $15 off" stacking coupon so the chair ended up being $105. Pretty comfortable so far, but the molded plastic has some rough edges around it, particularly on the edges of the seat

How did you get the offer for that? I can't get it to show up.

Been sitting on these chairs for about a year. If you sit cross cross they tear up your ankles. Also I find the head rest and lumbar lacking. Roller blade wheels did make it easier to sit in

It didn't show up for me either. I did get a $10 off coupon ~10 hrs after signing up.

Literally sitting on a Dexley right now. Also owned an HM Aeron in the past. This gives about 85% of the same experience for 15% of the cost.

I used to have an Aeron it was very comfortable but i didn't like the loose swinging arms so had to reinforce them. Problem with mesh seat and back was like sitting on a grater. Dust accumulated under the seat and on the outside of back rest. I had to vacuum it often. Then i bought a powerful air blower. I hate mesh chairs.

After seeing how often I was replacing "cheaper" chairs like this due to parts failing over time, usually from the seat no longer being comfortable, I decided to splurge on a HM Embody chair (new with 12 year warranty). I've had it for years without any issues, and it's still comfortable to sit in.
You could also look at a used Aeron, though those come in 3 sizes, and picking the right size for you is important for it to be comfortable. (Size is indicated by 1, 2, or 3 bumps on the underside of the top back lip of the chair.)
Last time I got a cheaper chair, I was able to get the arms installed backwards and still be comfortable. This allowed me to get the chair closer to the desk without the arms bumping into the desk. When working at a desk, I mainly need an elbow rest, not a full arm rest.

Product page says 5 years, no longer 7 but I guess its much easier to deal with Staples directly since they can replace the chair if parts are no longer available

Chair was delivered the other day, assembled pretty easily (I watched a youtube video, it was faster/easier). The build quality is pretty good, I added "rollerblade wheels" from Amazon so it would roll easier. One of the arms wobbles a bit more than the other, so I'll think about reaching out to Staples support see what can be done about it.

Otherwise, I'm tall and this chair feels small to me (but not by much). Overall it's very nice, but probably better suited for someone 6'2-6'3 and below.
