I got the bigger fan blade and more traditional looking fan for a recent trip to Italy and Greece, which portable fans were absolutely needed, and pretty happy with it. I wouldn't be able to use the fan in public if it was loud.

Got this and have 3-4 similar. This one is smaller then the others, comes with no carrying case, slightly louder then the others. My daughter's love these stupid things and this is the worst one I've purchased.
