Note: uses Phison E18 controller. Download the firmware update tool [pny.com] and make sure it's up to date. Not too sure about the firmware being fixed or having the issue in the first place so it's a gamble.

Like 1% of people 0.001% of the time, depends how you will use it but then you'll need cooling heat sink. Generally not worth the premium but this is a good price for 2tb w dram

For heavy read/write situations, it's faster. In systems that do not have HMB support, i.e. old OS like Windows 8 or as a USB drive, DRAM can be significantly faster. In systems with HMB support, regular OS usage, web browsing, and gaming will see little benefit.

this is actually a good deal. this SSD uses a phison controller, micron NAND and hynix RAM. this a really good deal. other SSDs in this price range and higher use s**t tier chinese brand NAND (YMTC)

Once your drive hits 60% of being full it starts to really matter. And when you're copying a ton of small files to it. Like thousands in one shot.
