Why are you arguing the location of the tech capitol of the country or world? Who are you debating? This is a hard-to-find deal for a refurbished TV … not sure what tech capitols have to do with that.

Only 30 day return policy. How necessary is it to buy a protection plan on these since it's refurbished
I bought my refurb C1 at MC about 4 years ago. It looked brand new when I opened it and it's still going strong.

Grabbed the 55" LG C4 yesterday and added the 2 year warranty to be safe. TV looks great and appears to have been used for 2 hours by the original owner. Stand was included with all parts and screws except there may have been a small fabric strap for cord organization that is missing. Also I'm guessing batteries for the remote were originally included but were no longer present. The magic pointer on the remote seems to have been turned off or is not working. Either way I'm not a big fan.

Microcenter, about 30 minutes from me, says 1 new in stock

I checked the box dimensions, and I don't think I can get it to fit into my van (2017 Sedona), unfortunately, otherwise I would probably go get it.

This seems like the kind of thing you need to get shipped unless you have a truck bed or a larger van where you can remove the seats or they fold into the floor. The back door to my van is sloped downward, so it limits the vertical room I have to get the box in to about 40 inches unless it's angled, and the middle seats slide up, so it reduces my length capacity by about 10-11 inches, so I only have about 70 inches to work with that way. Those two things limit what I can fit Frown

I could slide it between the two middle seats (the center removes with the back row folded down), but then I can't angle it enough to get it in through the back door. Frown

first world problems.....

any one have experience with this, getting it into this kind of van configuration?

I even checked pushing it up against the sliding door angled towards the opposite side of the back door, but I also don't think I have the 75 inches needed that way either b/c of the plastic bump outs back there.

its not that great a deal that I want to waste 2 hours of my day driving two and from and trying to get it to fit in the van only to not be able to take it home with me

Just rent the Homey Depot truck for an hour. Its only $20
Alternatively, just take TV out of the box & wrap it in moving blankets.

Wrapping it up to take it home isn't a bad idea, but then I couldn't get the box home with me in case I needed to return it for some reason (unless I broke it down). I would have no box Frown

I checked the rentals at HD. It would probably take me a good 2 hours to get there, get the tv, get home, unload it, put gas in the van, and get back to HD. That's if everything goes well. That is $50 with fees by itself. Over that time is $75, and suddenly this isn't such a good deal anymore.....I don't think that is worth it for a smaller purchase like this.

Nah, by then the movers are gonna drop the tv, your gonna break it, or you gonna be itching to get the next upgrade with 10 million more pixels & brightness level to equal the sun.
