Those are the main differences. You can choose which are important. For me, I have Visible for the Verizon coverage and unlimited hotspot.
However, internet mobile is always so bad. Even I just want to use google map to find somewhere or some website to check info only. Not watching video or transfer large files.
Is it normal? I remember long time ago, when visible only have 1 plan around $35. I tried to get iphone deal required 1 or 2 months plan. I used for a while, is it ok comparing to my T-mobile. I assume Visible is Verizon MVNO, should be very good...
Don't know if Basic plan problem or not. If I upgrade to plus or pro, will it become smoothly?
also, I still have a lot $20/per month referral credits. Can I try "Plus" or "Pro" to upgrade or downgrade (if same bad mobile network) still keep those credits each month only pay difference.
thanks

Can we switch to this plan to extend the price for next year?

i used to use mint and now love visible for a couple years. some more things
after the promo period mint's prices rise, typically double eg in this case 15 becomes 30. visible otoh is locked (at least for a long time, i may have one of those forever price lock's idk). the only way out would be to port your number out of mint after the 12 months. Frankly this is bait and switch no other way to put it.
like you said taxes and fees, when i checked 180 for mint 12 months becomes 207 after fees. may have gone even higher i cant remember but it was at least 207. Fees will depend on state but is significant in any state
So you are close to visible 19 month already but then since I'm already on visible i referred myself and you save 20 both sides (existing line and new line) so by that time I'm probably ahead). But thats just my situation already in vsible adding a 2nd line, YMMV. Plus, there is the time value of money. 180 upfront is never fun. 19/month feels so much nicer without that initial big outlay. same reason i opt to pay my car insurance month to month rather than lump sum even though its a few bucks more a month.
mint has improved a lot and no longer has limited data for the most part. this is just catching up to where visible was yrs ago, but is a good thing. limited data is annoying, even if you think its plenty imo its never worth dealing with. you dont want to think about data use. for example once on limited data i was uploading a yt from phone at the house on wifi. i went to mcd's drive through, well i forgot whole time vid was still uploading. yep blew through my data for the whole month with like 3 weeks to go, huge pita. And you can trust Mint did not make it easy or cheap to add data, or switch plans mid month. In fact I think that was the time I ended up leaving them.
Hotspot: now this is just me and YMMV, but I totally love Visibles unlimited hotspot and it's the killer feature for me with them. Yes it's limited to 5 mbps, but I found that surprisingly usable when I was on it a couple years ago. I could surf youtube at 480P, even play Xbox online on that measly 5mbps (makes sense, my Dad got by on 5-10 mbps DSL until a couple years ago at home). I was with a new fiber ISP company at home, and they had constant outages. It wasn't too much trouble I'd just switch to my visible hotspot. No way I could have done that unless it was unlimited. Personally I'm now on Visible plus which is 10 mbps unlimited hotspot. I wouldn't want to go back to 5 mbps TBH, but it did work well when I had it. But yeah unlimited (even throttled) hotspot is just fantastic all around. I do think the mbps limits are due for a bump to say 10/20 visible/visible+ or at least it would be great.
Main downside of visible and I didnt even notice this until recently., it's basically one line only. You cant add lines easily for family etc. This is weird. All you can do is sign up for a new account with a new email. I dont know why they do this. But you can use the same payment method etc. So I guess it's not that big a deal to use a different gmail/account for each line, but it is sort of strange/annoying. Then again the way Mint handled multiple lines was quite confusing as well, so they were probably only nominally better.
Flat (great) rate, fees included, simple plans, unlimited hotspot, unlimited eveything, a plan I can stay on and keep my number month to month forever if needed, visible FTW for me. I spent far too long in the Mint Mobile/Red Pocket wilderness.
