How would this compare to Mint Mobile currently at $15/mo for 12 months unlimited plan ?
Verizon coverage vs T-Mobile coverage. Visible's price includes taxes and fees, Mint's does not. Visible is month to month, Mint requires upfront payment for all 12 months. Mint would have faster hotspot, but only 10GB, while the Visible base plan is unlimited hotspot at 5Mbps.
Those are the main differences. You can choose which are important. For me, I have Visible for the Verizon coverage and unlimited hotspot.
And
Not true about the hot spot info you just stated...
Me personally, I switch between the two companies. I find Mint to be cheaper.
The advantage of monthly though is that you can apply any friend codes you earned and also if a credit card offer pops up again you can maybe take advantage of it. And also you are not locked in for a year of course
For anyone on the fence - I switched about this time last year from Verizon. I would say it's the same if not better coverage (yes, I know it operates on Verizon's network). I travel a lot all over the country and it's pretty good. I buy my phones directly from Apple so I don't know about their phone deals.
please explain how Visible gets better coverage then Verizon.

My data around town where I live is not as spotty as it was with Verizon. I live in a pretty rural area.
NOT POSSIBLE that Visible works better then Verizon. Tell me it is the same but don't tell me it is better. And Verizon owns Visible.
That is like saying Mint mobile is better then T mobile for service.
You probably got a new phone that had better antennas.

If we do the basic visible $19 deal with discount do we have to stick around for the whole year or can I switch after a month or 2. Incase we have better deals around thanksgiving
There's no contract and you're only paying monthly so you can leave at anytime -- the $6 discount only lasts for up to 12mo if you choose to stay that long
$225 for 12 months of their $45/month plan. Breaks down to $18.75 per month. Includes free Apple watch service as well.
Must port in a number that is not tied to any verizon value brands (tracfone, straighttalk, verizon prepaid, etc)
Might be possible to enter a random iPhone IMEI combined with a pSIM then use on any phone, someone will have to test that.
Visible (Basic) = "Unlimited data...." and "Up to 480 SD quality video"
Visible Plus = "Unlimited premium data..."
The way I interpret this is that Visible (Basic) is ALWAYS deprioritized, and Visible Plus is always prioritized, BUT at what QCI level, it does not say.
So, Visible Basic will be faster only if you're in a non-congested area or at a non-congested time of day. I figure that as soon as congestion goes past moderate, you'll start to notice a slowdown, and when congestion is high, you'll be hating the speed.
Note that Visible Plus, even with its prioritization, still could suffer if all the customers at the same or higher prioritization congest the cell you are in, so it's not like buying Visible Plus guarantees you better speeds.
ALSO, from what I can tell, the deal can be bought per month at the discounted price. You don't have to buy a whole 12 months. The discount will only last for 12 months, after which it goes back to full price. If you cancel before the 12 months are up, it goes back to full price if you re-join (you lose the discount, in other words).
I'll give Visible Basic a try for one month to see how it does in my area. It'll probably suck, but I might luck out. I happen to want to quit Mint for at least a month to qualify as a new customer for their next deal.

Not true... you can buy 3 months of service at a time with mint.
