Among enthusiasts, the TAC AA is known as a "pocket rocket". I own several and have never seen them priced this low. (I've purchased from Acebeam's AliExpress store several times and have never had an issue. Shipping usually takes less than a week.)
Only the black version and blue version are available in the US. (Not the red or orange versions.)
Note: The versions have different LEDs, and different beam profiles.
- Features of blue version: SFT-25R LED, cool white 6500K, 900 lumens, beam distance of 360 meters. (Choose this one if you're looking for a tight, bright beam with a massive throw.)
- Features of black version: TN LED, cool white 6500K, 1000 lumens, beam distance of 280 meters. (Choose this one if you want a wider beam with more floodlight.)
Comes with a rechargeable 14500 battery (but is also compatible with AA batteries), USB cord, lanyard strap, two-way clip (works on hats), two rubber diffuser caps (very handy), two spare o-rings, and a user manual.
Full list of features:
- 6 programmable modes so that you can program the light functions according to your needs.
- 4 brightness levels, Strobe, SOS, meet your lighting needs of multiple scenarios
- Compact size makes it easy to take anywhere
- Operate with a single, easy-to-press tactical tail switch
- Dual fuel design, powered by an included 14500 USB-C battery, compatible with a standard AA battery for use as a backup
- Two-way clip and tail standing capability for various conditions.
- The included diffuser caps (white, orange) can transform your light into a reading, signal or emergency light.
- Stainless steel strike bezel ideal for self-defense in case of emergencies

What about this one?
I own several TAC AA and TAC 2AA lights. I don't use them on turbo for more than a few minutes. They do get hot by then, but (IMO) not any hotter than the average modern light.
1Lumen and ZeroAir do in-depth flashlight reviews and lab testing. I scanned their reviews for the TAC AA but can't find any mentions of thermal stepdown issues:

How would this Acebeam compare?

The S2+ has an 18650 battery, so it's larger and heavier than the TAC AA (14500), but likely has a longer run time. As for the beam, it's hard to compare without knowing which emitter is in the S2+.
