Pffttt. Without Kimball, it's not really ATK. (even if they do include recipes from the ~20+ years he was there ('92-2015)) They have some nerve to even leave him out of the pics IMO.
(Reading between the lines, a new CEO was appointed to their parent co. and wanted someone younger as host, so wouldn't agree to his salary renewal.)

Yeah, print is nice, but this is one of those books where you want the kindle version. I have the physical copy and it's a beast of a book. Looks great on a book shelf as a display piece. But not very practical to handle physically, it's very thick as 5in or so about the width of your hand, and very bulky. If you open it in the middle, it can lay flat. Towards the front or the back and you need two hands to keep pages from flipping around or closing on itself. Still if you can get the Print and Kindle versions.

Thanks OP. I love watching ATK. I would love to have the hardcopy of this because of the pictures mainly but at this price I couldn't pass up the Kindle version.

Bringing up the book on a laptop or kindle app on a tablet should give you pretty good quality color pictures, right?

very true. I don't know why I always forget about the Kindle app on the tablet and computer.

Anyone used the digital version of this? I know sometimes cookbooks don't turn out very well in the digital version.

Exactly my thoughts. The digital is nice from a phone/tablet as well as you can easily search. A good companion for those that do want to still use the physical book

Allegedly Kimball was also dating his secretary (while he was still married) and left the company with a bunch of customer records.

Agreed. Kimball leaving ATK didn't damage it in my eyes.

I can easily wipe the ingredients off my tablet. :-( They stain the book (which is large, hard to move around). This is a few years newer than my print copy and much more convenient to use.

yeah, I read some reviews and saw people mention it was a very big book. I'm glad I got the Kindle and will probably look for the hardcopy on eBay or maybe used.

I have an older edition (like 2019 or 2020?), purchased on clearance from B&N some years back when the new edition came out. It is indeed a big honking book.

You might look through it once or twice in an odd afternoon to get some new meal ideas, but I find when I actually need to cook something, having a digital version of the recipe on my phone or tablet is much easier.
