Took me awhile to figure out how to submit for the rebate card.
After you activate, you go to

https://promotions.t-mobile.com/, click start a new submission. Select your phone number for the T-Mobile Gateway and hit the optional Promo Code option, it is 250395. Fill out the information and then after ~10 weeks you get the gift card via text/email.

Affirmative. Hopefully they'll make the same mistake with a primary conductor soon and the problem will work itself out naturally.

I got this exact promotion for the rely plan and modem starting June 16. Works well except for having to reconnect my fire stick to the Wi-Fi literally every single time I turn my TV on. I've tried everything and it will not stay connected. Still have not received my $200 gift card however it has only been 6 weeks. The speed is good for my area. If you don't set up auto pay right when you order service they will not give you the auto-pay discount on your first bill, even if you sign up for it before the bill hits. Not especially crazy about their customer service but for $40 a month it's decent. Update: got my $200 rebate card for the rely plan after 8 weeks.

they dropped the rebate to 100 for 50/month plan, 200 for the 60/month plan. not a hot deal.

I don't think that is going to make them honor it as it's subject to change. I called to cancel as soon as I went to submit and saw that. They wanted to switch me to the more expensive plan which I accepted cause it was still a net gain but the promo page would get an error so I wound up calling back to cancel anyways. They should lock you in to whatever the deal was at the time of ordering.

Got internet only for a family member as we currently have someone else for cell services.Only option I see on the rebate is to use the phone number they assigned to the account for the rebate. Anyone else see this and figure out a work around for it? It is only telling me it will text the number and I cannot put in a different phone number.
I called and they said they would email the link. so no worries for us folks who do not have a cell number with T-Mobile.

I signed up on 8/24, just went in and submitted rebate. it shows $300 for me (amplified plan). Promotion Date Range is listed as 8/14/2025 - 8/27/2025. so if you signed up within these date range, you should be fine.

I signed up on the 26th, modem arrived and activated on the 29th which is 2 days after those dates and I was out of luck. Overseas support is pretty clueless cause I had to explain the promotion to them. They don't immediately know what you are talking about even though they work in promotions and the customer does not.

Tried this in two cities and had mixed results. In Fort Worth it hit 200M+ easily, but in Tallahassee it barely cracked 20M. Glad there's a 30-day free cancellation since it's really hit or miss depending on location.

30 days? I saw 14 during signup and then I saw 15 days test drive. Keep in mind that there is a 35 dollar activation fee. They told me I would not be charged cause I cancelled during the rest drive

I have the same issue. Have you figured out what to do?
they use your email address. if you look under the email address fields it says that's what they'll use for home internet only customers

Can confirm deal works. Just got my $300 on day 57, which then allowed me to downgrade to Rely. Speed was decent for my parents' house. I wouldn't use it for myself since I WFH and rather have reliable internet.
Is the hardware for all 3 plans the same?

Beware that there are two factors that affect your speed and connection stability. The most obvious one is your distance and light of sight to a T-Mobile tower. These parameters are available from the modem/router box. The other one is invisible and unpredictable. When T-Mobile network becomes congested, the home internet traffic gets deprioritized. So you will see very large throughput variations throughout the day, and sometimes, you can't even connect to the internet. If you do a lot of video conference calls from home, or VPN to your company network, this is not for you.

Got Rely with 600 up and 40 down,

It dropped down to about 500 and 25,

During the day with lots of folks about 300 to 350 with 20.

Ping 19.

Saying bye bye to spectrum.

My tower, about two blocks away. I can see it from my house but not Russia. That is probably why I am getting strong connections.

So far, no dropped connections. Spectrum was dropping once a week. Sometimes a few times at night. Up speeds dropped to 1 before I complained. Then up to 11 which is their max then at around 5.

Spectrum use to be good. Tmobile is superior since no cable involved (prevents cutting cables) Just need battery back up unit to fully secure internet in case of power failure.

Hookup was easy. Have double NAT but that is ok since I have another subnet. Want my router to maitain security as well.

So, why is cable better? I have two spools of RG6 quad shield 250ft I guess I do not need,

So far works with cloud services and vpns. MTU might need to be set to 1428 for VPN but thats about it.

Does the gateway have a mic port for me to plug my router into? I'd like to not redo all my smart devices' internet connections
