It's $60 minimum. 50 for first month with Straight Talk then 10 for 2nd month rebranded to Tracfone. No need to change the number between months. Unlocks after 2nd month.

This phone and the G Power are separate lines in the G series. Moto model names stink. The G Power is a better line, yes.

That isn't/wasn't a trick. That's the old rule. The present rule is 60 days of continuous service to unlock.

How good is this as a hot spot?

I have the 2023, mainly use it as a TMO hotspot when I travel, it is not very good.

Can you activate the Tracfone phones in the other deal, let that phone unlock in 60 days, then move that sim card to one of these and have it unlock in 60 more days? Meaning you don't port out or cancel but just continue the 1 year of service you paid for. That would make those yearly TF plans well worth it if that does work.
