I got one about a week ago from Walmart as a Wi-Fi only phone. It's Wi-Fi 5 and 4G only. You have to update it to Android 14 which is the last version update it'll get. It uses 2gb of Ram Boost by default. I just left that setting as is. The only apps you really have to keep are Moto and Device Pulse. All the other bloatware can be disabled or uninstalled. The phone is fast and the battery lasts a long time. I don't turn it off. I wouldn't use it as a main phone but as a backup for Wi-Fi only and other tasks, it's good and fast.
If you have a phone farm for various DePin projects or whatever else, this phone is suitable. My only complaint is the fingerprint sensor is located too high up. Other than that, the sensor is fast. The speaker is loud. The phone doesn't freeze up or close apps when confronted with too many apps being open or when playing music. But don't push it, obviously.

You are talking about two different things. You can no longer do a COMBINE when you have two active lines and need customer service to combine them to one line. You can still do a HARVEST when there is only ever one active line. You activate the new device with a transfer of service clicking on "keep my number" and everything moves from you current line with the year of service/minutes/texts/data added on. Then, you can repeat the process moving back to the original device (either immediately or after 60 days if you want to ensure the unlock). A harvest can be done entirely online without involving customer service.

I can't believe you can buy a brand new decent smartphone for $25. Whatta time to be alive. Too bad I can't think of a reason to get this.

Sorry, had to take care of a baby. I use a new email address, same billing/shipping address, different credit card (use a virtual card).

Has anyone ever hit a wall with constantly combining time from these deals to their main line? I think I have like 6 years of airtime but this is tempting to add another two years
So they just let you port the time over to an existing line? Also, are the minutes/texts/data listed per month or per year?

I'm on the fence on this. I've been using the same 2021 Moto G Pure for the last 4+ years. The plan is 2 months from expiring. I combined/harvested plans into it in the past but now I feel clueless about how to go about it. Ideally I'd like to keep my existing number but I'm worried the sim card is getting old and will not work at some point. Also, if I harvested these 2 1 year plans into my existing plan after having them activated for 60 days each would I be able to use my old sim card with the number I want to keep and put it in these new phones? It seems like I'm just better off using a new number with a new sim card from one of these new phones and then trying to harvest the other plan into it. I also have doubts if they will even let me harvest the plans at all assuming I do the steps correctly.
There are Tracfone experts who often reply to questions but I'm not one of them. But FWIW, I'll take a crack at your problem. I would not be concerned about SIM card aging. Moving the old number between old and new phones is done on the web site. SIM cards should not be interchanged among phones. Simply make a screen shot of your account balances for safety, indicate that you are activating a new phone (click "activate") and indicate that you wish to keep your existing number and proceed as usual. The old phone will cease functioning and the new phone will begin to work and you account will show the added time, texts, min, data.
I would strongly advise that you not call CS. Simply use the web page as usual.

Thank you. I'm thinking of trying this again soon. I did it in the past, possibly once on my own and once with some help. I have been using a moto g pure 2021 this whole time. I still have enough points to get another free months in addition to my remaining 38 days but you are saying I can just get that added to the new plan that I will get. This Moto G Pure is really becoming more of a pain lately. I can barely keep any apps on it because I always have storage issues and it is getting slower and slower. I like using things into the ground until they do not function anymore but I don't think I can wait much longer.

Buy this 2pk, then follow the DIY Guide [reddit.com] to move your phone # to the new phone with service combined.

Yeah. 25KCLQVC can still give you $25 off, but the $30 off is expired.

It will likely be until next year before the 2025 Moto G phones are in a 2 pack with a similar price as this?

There's no way to predict what's going to be available next year or what the price might be (especially with tariffs).
Verizon can make changes at any time & even stop selling these 2 packs of Moto G Play Tracfones & go back to only single phone bundles.

*** BTW Verizon has been trying to get approval to change the unlock time from 60 days paid service to a longer amount of time so just be aware unlock requirements could change without warning just like they did in April.

Well, if you're going to stand there and preach to everyone not to buy this, surely you have a better product in mind?

Appreciate the recommendation, but I'm really looking for something that's not quite so locked down.

Good to use as trade in devices.

Would never use this as a daily driver.
