I got one about a week ago from Walmart as a Wi-Fi only phone. It's Wi-Fi 5 and 4G only. You have to update it to Android 14 which is the last version update it'll get. It uses 2gb of Ram Boost by default. I just left that setting as is. The only apps you really have to keep are Moto and Device Pulse. All the other bloatware can be disabled or uninstalled. The phone is fast and the battery lasts a long time. I don't turn it off. I wouldn't use it as a main phone but as a backup for Wi-Fi only and other tasks, it's good and fast.
If you have a phone farm for various DePin projects or whatever else, this phone is suitable. My only complaint is the fingerprint sensor is located too high up. Other than that, the sensor is fast. The speaker is loud. The phone doesn't freeze up or close apps when confronted with too many apps being open or when playing music. But don't push it, obviously.

You are talking about two different things. You can no longer do a COMBINE when you have two active lines and need customer service to combine them to one line. You can still do a HARVEST when there is only ever one active line. You activate the new device with a transfer of service clicking on "keep my number" and everything moves from you current line with the year of service/minutes/texts/data added on. Then, you can repeat the process moving back to the original device (either immediately or after 60 days if you want to ensure the unlock). A harvest can be done entirely online without involving customer service.

I can't believe you can buy a brand new decent smartphone for $25. Whatta time to be alive. Too bad I can't think of a reason to get this.

Yeah. 25KCLQVC can still give you $25 off, but the $30 off is expired.
Is this just for new customers?

I use a new email address, same billing/shipping address, different credit card (use a virtual card).
That's it. Does it have to be a virtual card or just different credit card.

Just as a friendly reminder -- the 1500-plan is total for the year, not per month. That works out to just around 4 minutes of calling per day.

Nah, it's not bots. People hate to be reminded of the fact that a "deal" isn't quite such a deal. And no one enjoys that proverbial slap in the face.

Burn the naysaying heretics.

Just a friendly reminder -- no one enjoys the repeated stupidity of improperly applying lame averages. Learn about the real value of optionality; up to 1500/1500/1500 any time you need it. Its evidenced by all the people who find value in this deal, not just the 4 minute/day callers. Maybe one day you too will be able to find value in these deals once you get over the average.

I had no issues just using a different virtual card. I use capital one's VCC.

I just did it for 2 phones about 10 days ago. Harvested both phones of the 2 phone deal and combined the new total min/txt/data/service with my old phone's . No problems. I anticipate that at least 1 of the new phones will unlock in 60 days or so (about 50 actually).
I activated one yesterday and it literally took just 5 minutes.

So you're not sure if the first handset will unlock since the service was moved to the second one, right? Any veteran TF users can chime in?

I don't actually have any use for either the phones or the service. But keeping the line alive (which was expiring in a month) saves me $15 a month off my Fios service - assuming Tracfone will continue to be around for foreseeable future and Verizon doesn't remove the Fios promo. But it would be nice if they all unlock. Perhaps I can sell them cheap to further reduce the cost Smilie

A different question for veteran QVC customers: I ordered the set on 7/13 ($25 instead of $30 off). It was scheduled to be delivered on 7/21, but got stuck at the final UPS processing center since 7/18. A QVC rep sent me a replacement on 7/23 and told me to send back the original order if it ever got delivered. Well surprise - it came yesterday (after sitting at that UPS center for a whole week)! So my question is, if I decide to keep both, will they honor the $25 off discount and so only charge me $54.99 + tax? I'm debating if I should extend the line for 4 years.

BTW, the package from my original order included 4 items not listed on the website: 2 dual-port wall chargers and 2 5000mAh power banks.

Don't know. Have only interacted with QVC once in my life. I'd suggest you ask them.

If anyone needs proof you don't know what deals like this are for and how to use them, you keep supplying proof.
It's for throwing $50+ at already-rich-as-all-tarnation telcos for a device that you can barely use. They manufacture a "need" for a "spare device" or some nonsense like that. How DARE you ever get caught without a cellular mobile phone in your hand? Imagine what terrible wrongs you'd have to endure, facing reality without dopamine shunted directly into your skull cauldron via your eye sockets.

Did I miss the mark?

Enjoy talking 4 minutes per day! Let me know how many webpages you can visit with 4mb of data per day!
If you activate them on separate accounts and use your own referral code it gives 5000 points and one account gets 10k after 60 days pending you can buy 3GB add-on 1000 points so can get 15GB with 5000 points.

You get what you pay for. $80 for a "meh" handheld and a plan that lets you talk 4 minutes per day sounds more like you're giving Tracfone (aka Verizon) a free $80. Maybe when you walk down the street, money just falls out of your pockets -- but for the majority of us, we don't have that much to spare. We have to be thoughtful with our purchases instead of careless.
I've been using Tracfone's $25/year plan for years, with my unlocked Samsung Galaxy. I'm almost always within Wifi, Google Voice for talk/text. My plan I just renew harvested has 2 GB and 5k minutes and 5k texts. So my usage is within the plan's limits.

I don't really use my phone as I'm a PC user and I just need a basic plan.

Your usage is within the plan's limits because you use other networks and devices.

"Yeah, I got a new car! It has three out of four wheels, and I never take it anywhere because I get a free metro pass....but it's a really great car! How dare ANYONE even remotely suggest this car isn't the best thing ever. Find me a better car for cheaper...see, there isn't one. Check and mate!"

For someone like me, who has a company phone, which does not allow users to add an eSIM, this kind of phone is helpful when I am on travel outside the United States.
I also plan to use this Wi-Fi only. I'll get driving discounts from progressive insurance. But they require location to be always on. Which I do not want to do with my company phone. This phone I can leave in the car all the time. when I get home, it can connect to Wi-Fi and upload my driving logs to progressive.

Having said that, does TracFone block access to the eSIM?

FYSA Unless one disables most services on their smartphone, the OS is tracking their location. Your smartphone's OS knows your location even if you did not give it express permission.

Shipping is free. Promo Code expires Friday 7/25
They were probably trying the code on 7/25 after 9pm PST, when it expired midnight EST. My order went thru around 9pm EST, then my 30off disappeared, then got reinstated by CSR chat.
