How is the QC on these? Would be worried about having issues, but great price.

Suggest a better deal or a better monitor this size, please.

Didn't think so. Thanks.

I bought one last year during the $799.99 pricing error at Walmart. Amazon matched it and I bought the 5 year Asurion warranty for $80. My unit arrived with horrible uniformity. I had two huge pink circles at both ends of the monitor. I contacted Samsung for a panel replacement, and my appointment kept getting rescheduled. The technician finally arrived and swapped my panel. Now it's perfect.I primarily use it for work, and I game on it 10%-20% of the time. It makes working from home a breeze. The only downside is when I have to go into the office and use a smaller 34" Ultrawide monitor, haha. Despite having to get the panel swapped, I wouldn't want any other monitor. You'll have people who want a QD oled version, and that's great if you want that. I wanted a Mini LED Ultrawide so I wouldn't have to worry about dimming or potential burn in from static images. If you get a clean panel out of the box, I highly recommend it.

Appreciate you writing about your experiences. I'm definitely sharking for this monitor - hoping Costco puts it on sale again just cause I know I can no questions ask get a replacement if anything goes wrong.I see mixed experiences working with Samsung but maybe it would be worth it with the ausurion warranty.

No doubt! Happy to help. I'm not sure how Asurion warranty claims would work, but as long as I get a replacement or my money back down the line, I'll be happy.Another thing to keep in mind is this monitor is quite demanding. You'll need a beefy GPU if you want to max it out. I'm using an older 5700XT GPU with my 5800X CPU. I'm able to output full resolution at 120Hz with HDR and VRR. If I want to use 4K240Hz, I'll need to get a newer GPU. I primarily use it for work so I probably won't upgrade my GPU anytime soon.

I got the $799 from Amazon and it arrived with flashing backlight issues. Samsung customer service was TERRIBLE and demanded I accept a "repair" for a DOA unit. Amazon was amazing and replaced it with a return/replace after I explained to their customer service what happened. The new one has been good since. I use it for work and for gaming on Windows. I love splitting the screen 50/50 between vscode and a browser so I basically have 2 32" monitors worth of space. Gaming is really good on this with a 7900xtx as long as the games support ultrawide, which is a bit of a problem. Make sure your favorite games have support if that's what you want to do.

That's awesome! I'm glad it worked out. When did the flashing backlight issues start? Were you within the Amazon return window or just outside of it? I would've went to Amazon immediately. I should've done the same thing, but I was so busy with the holidays and work that I didn't have time.

Yeah same - I have one desktop with a 4090 and another with a 5070 ti. I've heard neither can really leverage the 240 hz but would be happy with 120 hz since like you I'd probably use it mostly for productivity and some gaming.

If anybody does get this monitor, Turn off HDR mode in windows, it makes the screen produce a lot of heat. Also, Visually, I can't tell the difference with it on or off.

Also you can change the backlighting zone layouts in the monitor settings - to suit your liking,

Doesn't matter. Those that know display technologies know that VA is a small step above TN (which is trash.) I would never buy a VA computer monitor, especially one that's so expensive.

Look at the details of the RTINGS review. There are lots of negatives that I would not compromise on, no matter the price point.

5090 can't do most games at 240 at this resolution, so you'll be good if you shoot for 120 lol. I use the 49" either a 4070ti and have no problems staying about 120.
