Got the DT2 Pro from an ebay seller for $850 a couple months ago. Have been pretty satisfied. For what it's worth I hit pot holes going 40+ all the time and never felt like I was going down. Doesn't mean I don't squeeze my cheeks sometimes (and also wear a quality motorcycle helmet/gloves). Also you can get the seat for these for like $35 from geekbuying or whatever it's called instead of the $150 on the Ausom website.

Some info on owning one of these after three years of use: I have a scooter that has almost the same specs as this. It is a blast! But a golf ball size rock at any speed is a big deal if you hit it. Luckily your inertia and the gyroscopic force(?) keeps you upright. But a pot hole, I don't see how unless you mostly fly over it. With the small diameter tires, you can flip easily by hitting unexpected bumps, especially when going slower, because the scooter stops easier and you keep going. Wear a helmet. For whatever reason, the tires get punctures easily, so consider using a product like Slime or FlatOut to seal them. I just changed the rear tire again on my scooter yesterday and it's a huge pain. They run at 45psi so if you do get a puncture, the pressure is gone almost instantly without sealant. Note the weight, 70lbs is a lot to get in and out of a vehicle if you take it places to ride. Mine is 60-65 lbs, this one is ~70. It's a pain if you have to carry it upstairs or just pick up a wheel over a curb. Just saying this isn't a kid's toy at all. At this power level (2kw), you can comfortably cruise at 25-30mph and get decent range. You won't see the full range unless you keep it under like 10mph. Full throttle drains the battery very quickly compared to partial throttle. Check your local laws, as cities have been making the laws stricter because of the influx of scooter rental services. Some areas want you to use them like a car on the road and ban sidewalk use, some places don't want them on the road at all. The laws vary a lot in my experience. Same goes with storage. A lot of apartments and stuff won't allow you to store the scooter indoors because of battery fire concerns. Don't run your battery to 0%, don't charge it right after using it, don't leave it on the charger after it's charged 100%, don't leave it charging unattended. Don't store the scooter for a long time at 100% battery, about 50% is considered best. These tips will prolong your battery life.

I recently got a Segway ZT3. It was on sale recently for $765 at Amazon but I got partial price match at Walmart and a much better extended warranty so I went that route. My previous experience with scooters was the rental lime scooters. I live in Seattle on top of a hill. The Segway has been awesome. 25 mph top speed and 11-in tires compared to the Lime of 16 mph. 25 mph is actually quite good because for city riding, it means that I don't need to be in the bike lane and constantly monitor car doors opening because I'm going fast enough to be in the main lane. The key things where it could be better are:

1. Range is nowhere near as good as stated for a heavier rider at sport mode and stop and go city driving. Probably 12 to 13 mi

2. Not enough power to make it up very steep hills. However, on my third ride I gunned it at a red light and popped a bit of a wheelie and dropped it. Thank God that I was fine! Be very careful with the torque on these scooters especially if you are coming off of a rental.

3. The 25 mph top end speed is fantastic because for city riding it means I can avoid being in the bike lane and constantly be monitoring car doors opening. I am fast enough to be with a traffic at least in the less than major arterials. It can get a bit wobbly even with wind at 25 mph. 40 mph+ on larger tires might be interesting.

Obviously this Ausom scooter is a lot different than the Segway but hopefully my general insights are helpful to somebody. It is worth noting to the Segway is much more waterproof than the Ausom.

i sold my Segway g3 max, poor battery range, ugly looking design lol , the zt3 pro is better looking...I will probably stay away from Segway, over priced for what it offers, i currently have an inokim quick 4 supper and I'm pleased with it

it depends on what you are looking for. You could certainly get more speed and range out of a different scooter (ie the current Ausom deal), but I had a prioritization around it being waterproof. The Segway is IPX5 on the body which means it can withstand low pressure jets in any direction and IPX7 on the battery which means it can be submerged in water for 30 minutes. Given the wet climate in Seattle and that my normal commute only a couple of miles, the Segway has been great for me.I'm glad you are enjoying your Inokin. That looks like a nice ride!
