FYI - this isn't espresso. It's very strong coffee. Basically moka, like from a Bialetti moka pot. Nothing wrong with that, but if you're buying it to make lattes, you might be disappointed.

Look this isn't going to make an Espresso.. Will it work and make some super dark coffee?? Im not sure. My advice is if you are interested this is a low price to start a passion for coffee. The first roaster I bought was 99$ and I have continued to upgrade and my latest is A LOT! But I had to take the baby steps along the way. The first was never great.. but it did the job.. That's what you are going to find with espresso machines. Mostly it's about the pressure that it takes to send the water, that's at the right temp, through the grinds and create a perfect espresso. That's not going to happen for 27$.. but your coffee journey could begin here!!!

Espresso requires higher pressure to extract the coffee quickly (hence the express part of espresso). Most common is around 9 bar of pressure, but it can vary depending on your machines capabilities and your desired outcome.

Nothing elite about knowing a crossover isn't an SUV. This uses steam pressure to create a concentrated coffee that's often described as robust and intense. Espresso machines, employ a pump putting out specific pressure, deliver a more concentrated, richer brew through a finer ground coffee. This product cannot extract coffee ground for espresso. Likewise, coffee ground for this product would taste sour if prepared in an espresso machine.

It's not espresso. It's moka. And it's a roundabout way to make it. A stovetop moka pot works just as well, has a longer lifespan, easier to clean, etc... These steam powered countertop moka machines really serve no purpose.

Correction: It isn't going to make a fastastic blossomic and artistic espresso that the elites can get behind. It's litterally the same ingredients and process, just not enough pressure or maybe water temp. It's like gettin a high end escort vs asking a friend to hook you up. You wont get the same experience... but they both get the job done. One of them will make you broke faster than the other though.
