I have this brand. Working for over 6 months now. Best of all there is no pointer or alert for tracking. Great for cars and trailers and such. As far as the china fear mongers. The current powers to be are making you fearful lemmings.

Did this come with 4 actual airtags or was it 2 and then 2 units of the case?

Yep. There are dozens of companies that will happily sell anyone location data of americans from apps that track your location and then sell it. This is simply some junk, not a government operation to track people who want cheap crap.

Yeah, the same people complaining about China stealing data through a cheap airtag that doesn't even USE a non-native app, carry around 400 apps in their pocket that constantly share all their data and location to the world. Yes companies tracking us is bad but it's stupid to assume China built this $3 tracker to track where our dogs are.

I bought the 4x last week and they work fine. Didn't realize the 8.99 was a 4 pack.

Might buy 2x this and return the other one.

Anyone buy this yet and received it? I have a feeling the listing is just incorrect and it's 2x air tags. not 4.

It's probably a 2 pack, they sell a 4 pack on the page as well. I ordered the 4 pack with the 20% discount.

But i think to OP's point, UWB alone couldn't justify the $25 price tag. At least, Apple could've launched a lower cost variant for say $5-$10 a piece without UWB (only Bluetooth LE), but they chose not to because $$$ and also they probably feel that without UWB the find experience isn't as smooth?

I remember Samsung Smart Tags, when they launched first, came in 2 variants - the Tag+ with UWB and the regular ones without.
