  • Directions: Clean and thoroughly dry surfaces before treating. Apply in temperatures above 40°F. Apply Rain-X to a small, folded, dry cloth and wipe onto exterior glass using a firm, circular and overlapping motion. Allow to dry until slight haze appears. Remove haze with dry cloth or by sprinkling with water and wiping with paper towel until crystal clear.

I am adding to this to both be helpful and see if others add great ideas. I tried wax. I learned that it needs to be a wax that dries clear. I had white residue fill in the rock chip indentions of my windshield. I found the white speck spots distracting. I also found that wax leaves swirls on the windshield. The swirls did not come out with a little water and mitt, like this Rain-X swirls do. I am next going to try Rain-X Ceramic. I already bought it. I am also waiting for a deal on Rain-X wipers. They are silicone and says you will never need another pair of wipers. Thx again for the posts here. Smilie

Bad idea, you don't want ketones and acetone being aerosolized and sprayed in your direction, or stored in your washer system

The aerosol can is by far the lowest concentration of Rain-X. The small bottle is the highest, followed by the spray bottle, then the wipes, then the aerosol spray. The aerosol spray can is awful

No, you are confused with a similar product manufactured by RainX that is designed to be added to washer fluid. It's even in a similar looking bottle, but maybe slightly taller. This deal is for the version of the product that is meant to be applied to your windshield and buffed off.
