Beware that LG uses 3rd party shipping companies that are sketchy at best and literal scammers at worst. Took me 2 weeks to receive my washer that was supposed to arrive in 2 days. I had to call them to figure out why the truck didn't show up each day and each day was a new excuse. "We don't have a truck today," " "The truck was on its way but broke down and we towed it back to the shop and can't send out another," "It was supposed to be delivered today I'm not sure what happened"... I have 57 documented communications because I was that confident they were never sending the unit and LG customer service said "it's out of our hands, the shipper has it now." I'll never buy direct through LG again. (3rd party company for me was LX Pantos based out of Fontana, CA)

I did this a couple days ago. So a few things.
*You add Pro for a reduced first year rate, giving you a reduced install cost.
* You can do a trade in and get more $ back. I'm sending in a couple broken whirlpools
* Rinse credits for free as well but I found it pretty worthless due to service area
You can go through increased CB potentially on certain CCs for LG (AMEX, BCP). I stacked mine with a CB link as well. You can schedule delivery, I scheduled mine for a week out in case of issues getting the other CBs to process to allow me time to cancel and reorder, but it looks like everything processed right.
So i'm down ~1500$ with 3 year warranty on each, installation included, and they're taking the old broken ones away from a second floor condo. plus a large amount of cashback on credit card and referral CB i'm getting turned into GCs.

Sounds good? The reviews I've seen on this set are OK. I've been limping along on a 14-yr old electric/gas set. but I've been second guessing if I should buy an electric washer now and stick with the old gas dryer until the newer heat pump dryers come down in price.

I'd stick with gas if you already have the hookup. I got a scratch and dent LG heat pump dryer as I didn't want to spend $$ to move gas line, and while it's great, it's not much of a savings over gas and it takes a long time to dry.
