Amazon says the law wont allow them to ship to my address but on the other hand I can go to my local Lowes and buy all I want

I'd recommend looking elsewhere for some 'utility snips'.. these are poorly designed, and open/close action on the first one I got was really rough (rough enough that the spring doesn't open it back up again). Amazon sent another one and told me to keep the other one.
Quality control issues aside, two main problems:
  1. There's a really nasty pinch point right around where the base of your index finger sits when using these. Got a pretty bad blood blister cutting something tough one time.
  2. The locking mechanism is designed poorly too - it tends pop itself open if you set it down on a flat surface (if you're right handed, this is the side you naturally put it down on)
They make much better heavy-duty scissors, like these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N5M4SWD

I bought these for the same price a couple years ago. I like using them to cut heat shrink. The lock isn't the smoothest but... whatever. Working fast and holding stuff in the other hand in a precise way its nice to have these where you can grab them like pliers.

but i also like using a set of fiskars pruning snips too, they just aren't as strong, so i like using those for trimming labels and light heatshrink and tapes and these ones for cutting larger 4:1 heat shrink and junk.

pretty specific use case though. The rounded tips are nice for not jabbing yourself with, but annoying when you want to do fine work sometimes and you're like gahhhhhhhh.

have a great day if you read through the ramblings

This isn't even funny. What a stupid police state we live in now when you can't buy scissors.

It's probably more amazon's stupid implementation of 'local law compliance' than anything.
