At this point the value proposition of Harbor Freight is sort of gone. Almost everything I'd get is the same as getting it shipped to me for free.

I think he's referring to tariffs but this isn't a recent thing, harbor freight has been tightening up regarding coupons, sales and deals for years now

I always stock up on Batteries and just ran out of AAs so perfect timing. Might also get some compressed air and lubricant sprays.

This right here. They're no longer the cheap place to buy something. "Buy a cheap version, use it up, then by a good version" -- now it's the same price or more expensive than your Husky, Kobalt, Crapsman, etc from Home Despot or bLowes or scAmazon. And most of those will ship to your door for free, saving you the trip & is far better for the environment.

That's fine, I used to stop in almost every other day to Horror Fright Ghouls because they had those perpetual 20% off + free item without purchase/with any purchase coupons. Now it's only on weekends, which I have other....better things to do. Nowadays, of I make it into a HFT twice a year, that's doing pretty good. No idea what new things they're selling, other than it's the same price or more expensive than the competition!
