To answer the inevitable question: No, you can't apply this to renewal of an existing AllTrails+ membership. However, if your plus membership has expired, you can take advantage of this to upgrade again to plus.
This offer comes around about once per quarter. I turn off auto-renew on my account, then AFTER the plus subscription expires, I look for the latest offer to sign up again. Set up a SD Deal Alert so you won't miss it.
And as I learned here on SD, you can save a lot of money by using a VPN to sign up in another country like Brazil, where they charge much less (if you have a credit card that doesn't charge foreign transaction fees, use that one). Coupon offer still applies.

How much cheaper? Because I'm all about saving money but $17.99 isn't bad.

You can take advantage as an existing member - just buy gift subscription (valid for 24months), once the subscription expires simply apply. I did and confirm this works just fine. VPN works, Brazil one will cost like $4 or so

Exactly. I did it and the Brazil VPN worked. It did redirect to the app, and it then wanted to charge it 17.50 usd, but you close that popup window and login via browser and tada it worked. Also the annual renewal without discount is still only double that, so less than $10 usd.

Be forewarned. They took a good amount of the features that were available at this price subscription and put them behind a higher $80 paywall. I won't be keeping them.
24.95 Realis to 4.95USD. Took the deal using Sapphire Preferred which should have no foreign fees.
Hoping that at least the maps are still available and not behind that expensive paywall.

As with most subscriptions, you can re-subscribe using the same email by appending a suffix like [email protected] . That will route to your same email address ([email protected]), but AllTrails will register you as a new subscriber . Your account will be separate of course.
