Once in a while you'll find a cheap pair of Ozarks that are fairly comfy but ya can't go wrong with Merrell.

Darn, I already bought Merrell to hike the Inca Trail. These look almost the same and wouldn't be surprised if made in the same factory. Would've given these a try but now I have too many hiking shoes.
Good reviews.

I'm not sure. It said 5 left and coming the same day. Coming from the store even though I selected "shipping" and not "delivery" perhaps? Charlotte area.

I have these and love them. I find them to be comfortable for day to day and for long hikes. They have legitimately been waterproof for me. They are a little wider/boxier than Merrells so aren't quite as stylish but it was close enough for me. I would buy these again in a second at $20 if I needed some (maybe I do need a back up pair, hmm.)...Edit: I did order another pair- shipping worked but it does seem like it's really still just delivery from the local store, so maybe they need to be in stock locally for delivery to work.

Got a brown pair last year in March for $12.83. I used them for moderate yard work and got a year out of them before the soles started coming apart. Very comfortable but no ankle support. At $20 I'm really debating.

A few years ago, I found a pair of mostly leather, mid cut Ozark Trail hiking boots at a local thrift store, very lightly used. Being a fairly experienced hiker, I understood these were not Vasques, Merrills, Hokas or Danners but the price was stupid cheap (I'm going to say maybe $10-15). I'm still using them today and I'm continually astonished by how well they've held up and how comfortable they are. And while the outsoles aren't Vibram or other name brand rubber, they provide really good traction, even on wet rocks.

I have no way of knowing whether these lightweight hikers are from the same manufacturer as those mid cut leather boots are. But my prior experience with Walmart's house brand hiking shoes has been so positive, I'll give it a go. In for a pair and thanks OP!

For what it's worth they were delivered in a regular passenger car.

For everyone else that is usually a wide size, they are a little snug up front. I think they will break in ok but you may consider getting the next size up.
