Have a 7 that had all kinds of problems. both buttons failed, as did the battery.

You're better off buying a used Apple Watch 8 for less money as they still have the blood oxygen sensor enabled. I picked up a stainless apple watch 8 a couple months ago for $175, probably could have gotten it for less if I had bargained harder.

The brightness doubled with Series 9 but your point still stands for most.

Didn't know brightness doubled with the next generation! I spend time at altitude and hike 14k foot high mountains in Colorado every summer, so the blood oxygen sensor is more important to me then brightness. I wish Apple would just pay the company with the patent what they're asking and bring it back for all watches.

I probably won't upgrade until they finally deploy micro LED displays.

It's been this price on Amazon since release day, with the exceptions of a few days it was $329. It was a little less for Prime days as well. Still, seems weird it's been $100 off so much since release.

For people on a budget, sure, but the 9 and 10 have a lot of other upgrades. Blood oxygen doesn't matter for most people, but the other upgrades do.
