Just remember that the Pixel 10 is launching in a couple weeks. Decent chance Best Buy has the trade in an iPhone 13 or whatever and get one free like they have the last couple years. I would definitely wait unless you need a phone immediately.

I tried that, iOS is so incredibly primitive that I'd rather use a buggy Pixel than an iPhone.

For clarity - the $150 credit can only be used when purchasing from the Google store. I tried to stack itpurchasing from Google Fi, which gave me $250 off of $499 it couldn't happen so now I have a $150 credit towards a purchase on Google store that I cannot use. (if someone is going to purchase a 9A from google store hit me up to use the discount)
Look on Reddit. There is a way to make the $150 stick for Google fi members. I cannot try it because I do not have Google fi. Has to deal with CPNI sharing.

As tempting as it is, never buy a pixel. Too many issues. My wife has a pixel 7 pro and a software update made the main camera all blurry. Still no fix. She can't wait to go back to Samsung.

Can someone please suggest if I it is safe to order this from BestBuy for additional $100 discount for $299 using the option for Verizon Account setup and then cancel the Verizon account after shipment? Will there be any penalty? Will I still get an unlocked phone that I can use with AT&T or any other GSM carrier?

From a galaxy user, curious....anyone have experience with both and care to share?
They cheap out on materials to get a lower price point but it makes them super fragile. The plastic back doesn't add any structural integrity so the only thing keeping it from bending is the frame and like buttered bread, the phone will always land on the screen side because it's heavier. I've never broken any phone other than the 3a and 8a I owned. Never buying one again.
Older flagship models are about as fast, the same price, and have much better construction.

Yes, it stacks with the sale. I used the $399 price, $150 battery credit, and a $70 trade-in on one transaction, no issues. Also had an email from the Pixel team that said it does work with the sale price.
Thanks for confirming. It worked for me too.

How likely will this get a better price after 10 release? I have the 6a battery thing and considering getting the $150 discount but haven't requested the code yet. Not sure if I should jump on this now.

I had one of the early pixels. It was great for two years, then started having random issues (I was constantly restarting the pixel) I have a Samsung now and it has had no issues. So I don't think it's Android.
oh come-on your talking about real old pixel phone! I have the pixel 8 for 2 years now, zero issues and battery still at 100%

Amazon is showing a delivery window of Sep.4th to Sep.20th, while BestBuy and Google Store are showing next day delivery. Is it just for me or everyone seeing this same delay on Amazon? This is very strange. Why so much delay only on Amazon? Is there anyway to get this sooner from Amazon? I don't want to order from BestBuy or Google, because I already have some Amazon credits that I want to use.

I have been using my Google Pixel 9a for 2 days. I used my $150 Google credit and traded in my Pixel 6a for $70. I have been quite happy with ithe 9a for its PROs like blazing fast performance, battery life better than 6a ever was, clean user interface, great camera, long support, etc... I am coming from a Samsung Galaxy A54 5G (2023) phone which I really enjoyed and is probably my favorite phone of all-time. I didn't really need to upgrade but I just wanted to try something different. I noticed couple cons is that the screen size feels smaller than just 6.3" vs Samsung Galaxy A54 6.4" screen due to the Pixel having a 20:9 ratio and Samsung having 19.5: 9 ratio. I also feel like the Samsung has better screen quality. The Pixel has a better peak brightness but the Samsung is brighter. The Pixel with adaptive brightness comes off not as a bright as the Samsung with adaptive brightness. I guess they do it to improve battery life and maybe help eye comfort. The Samsung seems to charge faster and that is something that appreciate. 23w vs 25w. I will definitely say that the Pixel 9a definitely made some solid improvements over the gripes of the 6a like slow charging, fingerprint sensor, less than average battery life and the Pixel 6a small 6.1" screen.
I am definitely enjoying the Pixel 9a for its PROs especially at the great sale price. I need to use the Pixel 9a for a few weeks to really judge it and see if I can better adjust to smaller screen for viewing and also typing. When it comes to enjoying screen size at home for chrome, I actually prefer using my Motorola G Stylus 2022 with its 6.8" screen over my Pixel and also Samsung but I don't like carrying around a 6.8" phone that weighs 7.62 ounces so I wouldn't make it my daily driver.
  • I got the Pixel 3a (2019), 6a (2022) and now the 9a (2025).

is it just me or is does the 9a not feel any different than the 6a. the camera feels the same, the os is the same, if the battery on the 6a wasn't crap I could have used it for a couple more years.
I don't think the battery is crap, seems they gimped it with their software.
Clever way to get you to buy a new phone, and seems they will continue doing something similar.

I put graphene OS on my affected 6a and it is running great.

The 6a has the same operating system and user interface as the 9a. The 6a processor is a very powerful processor too so it will naturally have a similar feel to the 9a but it definitely isn't as powerful. The 6a also had the best camera that I had until I got the 9a. From my experience, my Pixel camera always beat my Samsung, Motorola and iPhone cameras. I think we are at a point to how much better can phone cameras get. The human eye can only see so much. How much more can they improve on? The big PRO of the 9a over the 6a to me is the battery life (6a with 4410mAh vs 9a with 5100 mAh) but the 6a with only 18w wired charging vs 23w wired charging. The 9a also has wireless charging. I was never really impressed by the Pixel 6a battery from day 1 but I have liked the 9a battery. To me the display of the 9a is way more enjoyable as it is larger and better quality than the 6a small 6.1" display. I could never go back to a small 6.1" display. Lets not forget HDR and 120hz. I have been using the 9a for a week and I am super impressed with the processor performance and clean polished user interface. We all know about Pixel great cameras. There are definitely some very noticeable PRO differences that I feel from the 6a vs 9a.... But also coming from a Samsung Galaxy A54 which I really enjoyed.
