That's why I don't buy iPhones. I only buy phones from Vietnam.
Made in China doesn't equal bad quality. There are a lot of Chinese origin brands like Huawei, Xiaomi etc which, from my personal experience, have Apple-like quality and zero issues.

I was able to get the NW-QAC10/18 induction heating (made In Japan) for $160 with student discount and PM , really satisfied with the GABA brown rice setting.
I also have a zoji bread maker and they are worth even retail price IMO

China has the ability to make whatever quality the customer wants. the reason why americans have a bad perception of chinese manufacturing is because all of the american companies go there and ask for the cheapest lowest quality option available.

Not just Americans, it's humans tendency. Same goes for outsourcing and immigration too, you get what you pay/optimize for. companies outsource something that costs $100 to be done for $10. If they spent $50 or even $40 they'd have gotten a far superior product or service.

No. You junk the entire appliance, just how they want you to. The teflon is a consumable item, ending the usable life of the product far earlier than the product should last.If you want to stop contributing to this insanely wasteful system you need to buy an Instapot with a stainless steel insert.
Both statements are false.
First, they do sell them (although the price is a bit high). Just search for Zojirushi replacement pot.
Second, my rice cooker is 8 years old and still works well. The coating is susceptible to scratching and high temperatures. Scratching is not an issue if you used the attached plastic paddle, not a metal spoon. Temperature isn't a problem in the first place because it's just for cooking rice, not pan-frying.
I would say a rice cooker is arguably the most suitable application of Teflon coating.
