Wider toebox than many other brands makes them more comfortable for bunions I'm going to guess.

Seriously? You think certain running shoe brands are only for certain ages? Brooks has been around for ages and the Ghost series for one is very highly regarded by runners everywhere. Let me guess, you think Onn is the best? The hot brand of the moment....

There are many, many great brands of running shoes. It depends on what you are using them for and what model you pick. New Balance, Nike, ASICS and Saucony all make great shoes if you know what you are looking for.
