Pretty good price for a budget socket 1700 system. This is pre Raptor Lake issues so this should have no issues with the degradation and crashing that impacted the later high core count chips.

Would this be a good upgrade from a 11600k? Or minimal increase

Probably not a big enough increase to justify a new motherboard as well.

Manufacture Refurbished MSI Z690-A DDR4 [ebay.com] with 2 year all-state warranty $91.99 or "Make Offer" on ebay can reuse the DDR4 from 11600K

Sold by MSI Partner so Manufacture Refurbished Motherboards include 180-day Manufacturer Warranty also.

Might be good for a budget gaming rig or office build. Wouldn't touch intel with their constant socket changes. Meaning if you wanted to upgrade in a few years, you'd have to get a new motherboard.

I would never buy or support Intel's business

People argue their existence means more competition but all they've done is lower everybody's standards for years.

Minimal, and you lose the iGPU.

Yes. I bought this processor last week and works well.
