This may be one of the best receiver values out there for a receiver with a well built power section,

Gene from Audioholics bench tested and really liked the performance and features of this receiver.

Nope, this is not the one Best Buy had on sale. They had the Onkyo TX-RZ50. This one did show up on Amazon Prime for $1499, and all five available were sold within a few minutes. They held steady at $1999 on Amazon for two weeks before rising back to $2800.

No that was the Pioneer equivalent LX805.
This has gotten down to $1799.

FYI they have OB for $1749, it gets the same manufacturer warranty.

When they did this with the RZ30, some stated they received a brand new one.

I posted this but actually got it price matched from B&H Photo & Video yesterday because I've had good experiences with them in the past.

Too many deals on receivers now. Guess they will drop down in price. At this price point it is not the best. If you can hold on then there will be better pricing. Is this better than the Denon x6800h?

Don't think so. The denon has quad subwoofer outputs and will support DIRAC ART in the future (which I believe requires 4 subs)

It depends on features you need/want.

This does not offer/capable of 13 channel processing, side wides, individual preamp mode, 6 height/atmos processing, 4 independent sub outs, access to A1EVO, if you prefer Dirac no access to the newest RC ART.
The 6800 does!

4 is not required but highly recommended.
It works for any sub, just like Bass Control, which is a requirement for ART when using subs.

It basically takes Bass Control/Correction to another level, among other things.
It basically handles/corrects/manages all bass below 150hz!

Thks for the input - ordered the Denon x6800h for $2199. I have my fronts & center with bi-amps, surround back, 3 subwoofers and 2 atmos heights - will probably be adding another 2 more channels for my wides.

Sure and if Dirac was one of the high interest.
I would highly suggest looking into/researching A1EVO over on places like AVS before investing.

There are many many users(and counting)that found it to be a game changer alternative to Dirac especially for the cost!

From personal experience I would highly agree!
Especially since you have to purchase Dirac's subwoofer/bass correction/integration RC(DLBC), adding another $300.

For A1EVO - are you referring to Audyssey & making the purchase for $20 for the APP?

It's a script/optimization tool that works with Audyssey (only).

The updated version you apparently don't even need the app.
I highly recommend getting it anyways, it's worth its weight in gold in my experience.

This is the newest one but there are others.

Just curious if anyone would pay the premium for the Marantz Cinema 30 which has similar specs but twice the price.

If you mean similar specs because of 11 internal power, no not really worth it.

If you're after Marantz's signature sound.
Better to go with the Cinema 50 and add external power to it.
That would be more equivalent to this in my experience.
