Honest question because I've never even begun to think I might need to microwave something in a drinking glass, what are you microwaving in something like this?

'Hey guys these are poorly made, get something 8x the cost for better quality.' My dude.... what are you expecting for something that's $1.88 a glass?

Classic design! I have a set of Jain green beaded glasses from the 40's. Similar design and cool.

Let's check the reviews (with pic): "Majority of glasses have very visible seams with some having more than two seams in a single glass. Poorly made."

Get yourself a set of these [touchoffinland.com], much higher quality, more expensive yes but far better company
I have the Costco set and yah they have seams. But with kids using these and for everyday use they do just fine. At this price, it's a no-brainer. The Finnish glasses are nice but for $15 a pop they should be.

They are not microwave save because of the design. No glasses designed like this should be microwave safe. They heat unevenly and can explode.

I like to warm water for 40 seconds in the morning by microwaving

But do you drink it out of a normal drinking glass? I would think if you wanted to heat up water it would be to a point that would be uncomfortable to hold in a glass like this anyway. I know some people (really only in America) microwave water to get it near boiling for tea occasionally, but I would think that would be done in a mug because nobody wants to drink a hot beverage without a handle to hold the container.
