I got these during the last sale; they are fine at cutting thin wires(<16.5 gauze), plastic zip ties etc. as they help make a flush cut; however, anything even slightly thicker(16gauze) the tool will lose it's edge. Customer service is definitely top notch; when I reached out to them, sent the pics; they sent me a replacement within 2 days.

If you're going to be cutting steel, you need diagonal cutters. Flush cutters are for materials that are softer than steel at that gauge.

$4 each if you buy the 5-pack. The single-pack hits $5.50 for a few days every month.
I'd call it a deal if it was $4 for the single, would try them out for that price

How does it compare to this one:
https://www.amazon.com/P-I-T-Elec...JNT35?th=1
Which shows $4.99 for me.

The Hakko CHP-170 - Micro Soft Wire Cutter went back down to $5.47 and is made in Italy. Not quite as robust as its made for smaller tighter spaces. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...=UTF8&th=1

Igan makes another model that is smaller also which is very nicely engineered and exact in tolerances I've bought both Igan models multiple times they are solid.
I spray done clear laquer on them for rust prevention after I wipe them down with alcohol and they work and look great after years.

These are perfect for plastic to light copper. I use them a lot in 3d printing and to cut zip ties smooth, where the tail can't catch on anything because it is actually flush with the surface of the locking tab.

These are actual flush cuts where the cutting edge meets the ground surface, that necessarily makes them weaker then side cutters or other flush cuts that have more obtuse angles. But if you use them right, I've had this pair now for 4 years and it still cuts perfectly.

I would absolutely buy them again, but I'm sure i won't need another pair for at least a decade.

I have these. They're nice, but the fine cutting edge and low quality metal are only good for very light tasks. Any solid wire or heavy gauge stranded wire will chew up the cutting edge. That being said, I will order another pair since I like them.
