I agree but the consensus is those rates will only drop further. They already took a hit over the last year.

Much better off to open the Marcus 13 month no penalty cd @ 4.15% and you even get 30 days to fund it which basically gives you a free 30 day rate lock!

I was thinking of putting some money in this one the first of next month before rates take a hit which they will do 1 way or the other. The market has already priced in a rate cut and maybe a .50 plus they see rate cuts the next 2 months after that.

They have a 12 month cd that gets 4.20 but this 4.15 is better due to 1 more month and no worries if you need the money. I might latter but i hate going 18 months at age 70

then the marcus cd works fine for you but hurry to open as they can change rates anytime
