We have one with both 2ah and 4ah batteries. The 2ah, you are lucky to get 7 minutes of runtime. The 4ah lasts about 15 to 20 minutes

Bought one last week and was delivered yesterday. Already eyeing out 4.0mAh+ batteries for it.

I have the green colored version of this that I got for blowing out the garage and a long driveway. that's about all this battery can handle. don't expect to do any big jobs.

WTH. May as well pull the trigger. Just looking for something quiet and small to keep on the back patio. Been using the gas blower which is overkill and probably annoys at least one neighbor

Have a similar, but probably older model. We've been happy with using it for cleaning up grass after mowing. It's light and quiet, the 2Ah last enough for those small jobs. Luckily our new house doesn't get a lot of leaves. I have a plug in blower that I have not had to use since I've gotten this.

Any 20vish leafblower is going to be relatively weak and not suitable to moving big piles of wet leafs or other demanding tasks. I have a sunjoe 18v gutter cleaning leafblower and it's nothing compared to my 40v Ryobi which itself is inadequate sometimes even with the 5ah battery on it.

Of course if you never let leafs accumulate then this will do it.

If you're buying this or any electric to reduce the use of a much louder gas leafblower like an SDer above, you're a considerate person and kudos to you.

I have a bunch of cheap sunjoe stuff (recip saw, mini chainsaw, polesaw, aforementioned gutter cleaner, power washer) and it all has been reliable.

I purchased similar 2 years ago with 2.0 ah battery ($30) and use it for grass cleaning on border after mowing. I have around 0.25 acre yard. works good.

Reg batteries: is it best to get a Sun Joe original battery? I can't seem to find them on Amazon. Tons of no-brand batteries there which I'm wary of.

According to reviews from various retailers, there's a good chance these are going to be returns and/or missing the charger.

I got mine and it is sized just right for a patio home, or for blowing off drives and decks in between landscaping crew visits. However, I do not think this would do well with yard duty as it is underpowered to move large amounts of material. The unit is extremely light, even with the battery, and almost feels like a toy due to its lightness. The initial build quality seems to be fine with no defects. One neat feature(?) it has that I like is the charger plugs directly into the battery using a normal round charger connector, which removes the need for a flimsy battery-charger connector. I have had several flimsy connectors (Black & Decker) break, rending the battery unchangeable. With this battery any standard round plug on a similar amp/volt charger should also charge the battery.

I know this is expired but if anyone researches, I'm extremely happy with it for patio use. It's prettt loud but blows the patio well, even wet stuck grass. I use it almost daily for a few minutes at a time. Decided to charge it and it was still have charged after a week or two of use.

There's a current listing that just came up today for the same item. You should post your comment again in the current thread. You made some great points! Smilie
