I don't understand why there are so many fat tire ebikes. those tires are going to suck the power from your battery much quicker.
Increased tire thickness makes for a larger contact patch. That means better traction, stability, while there's also a small bit of increased comfort. You can ride in fat tire bike in shallow sand but don't try that with narrows.

I wiped out on a patch of wet leaves with narrow racing tires. Have not lost traction with fat ones.

Fat tires get more flats too because simply more surface area to hit a nail or whatever.

I will draw your attention to Amyet's page here https://www.amyet.com/collections/fat-tire where we can see that there is no 1500watt peak model, and indeed the advertising mentions a 1000watt peak motor.

Maybe they don't make it anymore? More likely the aliexpress seller is just lying about it.

When you buy from Amazon you are not buying from Amazon but Amyet. They are just the checkout basically.
I'd say you would get a better return option though from Amazon?

Ugh... it sounds like the Ebay scam I was recently caught up in. My suspicion is that it's a ploy to get a "loan" without fees...

I had a Juiced Rip Current for a while.

I learned that I'm not a fan of 26" fat tire e-bikes.

They do look cool (subjective) but they aren't safer.

More weight, especially when it's rotational mass, just kills handling and braking.

I have been digging into this subject a bit and I'm not sure of that at all and form what I see. Amazon ad says
Quote :
30-day refund/replacement
This item can be returned in its original condition for a full refund or replacement within 30 days of receipt. You may receive a partial or no refund on used, damaged or materially different returns.
Aliexpress say this.
Quote :
AliExpress Commitment
Free returns within 90 days. Not satisfied with your order? Send it back within 90 days after order was placed. The first return on each order is free (up to 5 times per month).

The way I see it is that purchasing from Amazon or Ali may be effectively the same but I could be wrong. They are both acting as a checkout and you will be dealing with the maker for returns. From what I see they will always find a way to decline a return or say that you must pay for shipping no matter what the ad says

My thoughts are that your only real protection may be your CC company by way of a dispute. But Amazon may offer some additional protection but in this case for much shorter timeframe.

Both ads say "free returns" but the Amazon one gives you much shorter window of 30 days. If your bike goes bad on day 31 you are done versus day 91 with Ali which says 90 day returns.

Amazon say must be "returned in original condition" Ali say "now satisfied" is enough reason for return and text at least makes it seem the safer and more lenient option. That is I know just words paper but words and evidence I could get to CC to dispute that show the seller did not do as promised.

There is something that does give Amazon an advantage possibly but it will be for a shorter duration of 30 days. The A to Z policy states third party sellers must give you a return label or refund back without requesting the item back.
Quote :
Third Party Seller Returns
When you order from a third-party seller that fulfills and ships their own inventory, your return is sent back to the seller instead of Amazon. Sellers must offer one of the following:
A return address within the United States where you can ship the item
A prepaid return label; or
A full refund without requesting the item be returned
If a third-party seller doesn't offer these methods to return your items, please file an A-to-z Guarantee claim. For more information about returns to sellers, please refer to Returns to Third-Party Sellers.
As to that I did see a reviews review where the buyer was in the spot where the bike company was wanting it back on the customers dime and A to Z stepped in an made it right with a full refund

I do not think you will get Ali doing that and that is in favor of Amazon purchase but then the shorter return period at Amazon still needs to be considered

My thoughts and I do want to say they are just speculation but based on research is that ultimately to feel some sense of security as to not getting a dud or broken bike straight or shortly after out of the box is to rely on CC protection. I would assume that any CC you can show an ad to that says "free returns" to have the merchant demand you pay to ship will be a case you will win. Maybe I am wrong and I would hope maybe somebody that has been involved in such would let us know if I am but where I am at now I think I would choose Ali due to the longer return window.

Video on the Ali listing shows 1000watt brushless. Contradicting the product's worded description of 15000watt. Can Anyone with this bike confirm one way or the other?

Not sure if the same clones but got one that looks like this off temu for about 275. In the controller programming you can unlock it from 20mph to 28mph.

It's 1000w and 1500w PEAK, the post clearly states this.
