You sound like someone who've never done any alterations on the fly. It's the essence of DIY mate. I am more interested in the accuracy of the tape itself. You use the laser to do estimates, you use the tape for more accurate measurements.

I get the question but lcd is right next to the tape measurement end... Seems harder to peer down at the side unless you are measuring something overhead vertically (and can't see the top).
