Weird question - I know the wireless products are region locked (legal-wise, does not have to be functionally locked), but can wired-only products like this be used outside of the sale region? Assuming I don't care about warranty.

How is this a deal? Is $279 at UI?https://store.ui.com/us/en/catego.../ucg-fiber
Essentially, you save on shipping. But as some one posted that you get an extra year of warranty buying direct.

I've used it in Asia and it seems fine?

Is that a statement or a question?

Works well. Great upgrade from Dream Machine. I still think Ubiquiti is overpriced and the AP's don't quite have the range I think they should but I went all out with a UCG-Fiber, 3 U7 Pro's, USW 24 PoE, G6 Turret & various other cameras. It does work very well.
How do like the U7 Pro? I'm on the fence from ordering these, but they look pretty good for the price.

Very fast but range isn't the best. I have one on each level of the home and one in the garage. My Internet speed is 1200Mbps and I get that on Wifi.

I've had the U7 Pro's for awhile, they were the cheapest way to get WiFi 7 at one point. Back when the WiFi 7 routers were $400+ I bought one U7 Pro for under $200 and had excellent speed on my old router set up, but limited range. I the upgraded to the UCG-Fiber and added more AP's and cameras.

Yeah, im also tax exempt so not worth it. Just ordered one last week at $280
You just email them a cert and they will remove it for all future orders. We have ordered tax exempt for years from direct

Spec wise it's very slightly faster than the UDM PRO but 3gb ram vs 4gb ram (in the UDMP) and this doesn't support BGP.
If you're not using all the other UI apps (access etc) it'd probably be fine. Form factor isn't an issue for me as I already have a rack and can find a way to attach the Fiber gateway.

When my UDM base crapps out at another location a Fiber will replace it (or possibly the Dream Router which is near identical but NVR will suffer due to SD card speeds)
