If your dog is a slurper or a splasher, these are life-changing. Our dog was a major slurper since she was a puppy and it took us years to finally try a no splash bowl. These are not only really well made but when you throw them in the dishwasher you don't have to do anything special like with the other ones that are two pieces.

If your dog is a slurper or a splasher, these are life-changing. Our dog was a major slurper since she was a puppy and it took us years to finally try a no splash bowl. These are not only really well made but when you throw them in the dishwasher you don't have to do anything special like with the other ones that are two pieces.

We bought a similar dish a year ago and it has worked wonders for our black and chocolate Lab Retrievers (Especially the chocolate - I think he only gets 1/3 of the water he takes out of the dish haha). It took them a day to get used to it, but essentially to them it's like licking off the top of a puddle of water. That being said, the one we bought was 3L and needs to be filled usually twice daily for them. Our Kitchen floor is ever thankful haha.

We have a very slobbery dog and went so far as to get the "fountain" style dog bowl, but it was an enormous pain to clean and maintain.
In the end, we just got a small piece of waterproof absorbent material (like what you put under a sink) and cut it to surround the normal water bowl. Much, much easier than this if that's your problem.
This is a cool solution for the car or outside the home though.

We just use a boot/shoe tray with a huge water dispenser you fill. The lip of the tray keeps most of it in. Now if anybody has any recommendations for a dog that likes to walk away with water pouring out of his mouth that would be great

My lab 70% drowned himself when drinking water and there was no seal integrity to keep it all from falling out of his mouth when he walked away. This bowl has seriously chilled that whole nonsense down dramatically. His face doesn't go in like an open bowl a d that seems to have solved most of the problem.

If my dog exercises really hard, he'll come in, drink water, and then water ends up all over the floor. It's mostly after he leaves the water bowl as if he didn't finish swallowing or is drooling, so he leaves a trail from the water bowl to wherever he's heading next. Outside of this use case, it's generally not an issue.
