No, you can use this for anything. Just a standard torque wrench, if your socket set is 1/4 or 3/8ths you will need adapters.

You probably don't want to be using a 1/2" torque wrench on most fasteners that would use 3/8 or 1/4 sockets. Torque wrenches are less accurate on the low end of their range.
