I bought this after researching all the different miter saw stands available, and the hydraulic lift makes it the best on the market by far. $203 is not an amazing price though, but it doesn't go on sale often

Is this better than the Bosch miter stand on wheels?

Omg I didn't even know these existed. Wish I got this instead of my standard one. Such an awkward thing to pick up and move around

i can't speak to this one but i have 2 of the ridgid ones and they're junk. After about a year (of heavy use) the knobs start falling apart. The locking mechanism to open/keep it closed also gets bent over time and i have to reach down and move it into place now.

The compact one they have is great though, i use it more often and never have a problem with it. Shame they discontinued it.

They've been making the Ridgid one I have (AC9946) for 13 years and I presume over time they have modified design?

Hah, the Bosch one is the only one I didn't look at because it was a lot more expensive, I looked at almost all of the ones under $200

I would absolutely pay $28 more for this over the Rigid. Being able to one hand lift it is a huge plus, and the overall build quality is much nicer on the Dewalt

I have the Bosch zero-gravity one, it is super nice and high quality, but it's also noticeably more expensive even when it goes on sale.

I've had this along with a DWS780 sitting on top of it and love it. The hydraulic lift makes it super easy to setup/put away the heavy miter saw.

This stand is $230 most of the year on Amazon, don't be fooled/pressured by the +$300 before price

Usually not. Those deals tend to come with either the "Heavy Duty Stand" DWX725 (does not have/support extensions, highest weight capacity of 1000 lbs), or "Compact Saw Stand" DWX724 (extensions, 500 lbs capacity). This is the DWX726 "Rolling Miter Saw Stand," and it has a pneumatic assisted lift and 300 lbs capacity. It has sold as a combo before, looks like the last time was probably November 2024:

https://slickdeals.net/f/17848035-dewalt-15-amp-corded-12-in-double-bevel-sliding-compound-miter-saw-and-32-1-2-in-x-60-in-rolling-miter-saw-stand-dws779wdwx726-499

There's also the DWX723, also confusingly called "Heavy Duty Stand," which supports extensions and has a weight limit of 500 lbs. I think it's a bit bigger and supports longer extensions than the 724.

Can this be used with any tools besides the miter saw? Portable table saw? Router?
Looking for a multiuse for home improvement.
Any suggestions?

I have a 12" double bevel miter saw, and it is usually a pain to haul out to use and store. Since getting this stand it is way more compact to store, and I use it much more as it's super easy to bring in/out of my shed. It's well worth the cost on sale or not.

The only flaw I've found that when leaning it back to roll when collapsed I've accidentally unlocked it a few times making it expand. Probably user error, but I've figured out a way to avoid doing it.
